Hi we have had our vehicle at Autoworx for over 2 years. **** the mechanic was supposed to change out the engine. He has repeatedly over these two years made excuse after excuse for why the vehicle isn't ready. He has drove my vehicle off his property and left it parked along a road two different times. I was notified by the police once and another time it was towed by a company. He has told me it was being worked on on the days the police notified me that my van had been sitting for weeks on a random street somewhere. He has repeatedly told me it needs a new part everytime I seem to call. Last week he told me since it was overheating he disconnected the heating core so I can address that later since it's summer and don't need heat. He also told me he was taking it somewhere to get cleaned because they have grease inside my vehicle from them getting in and out of it. They won't answer my calls and I am so done trying to resolve this issue. I really need help. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional business. I want my vehicle fixed correctly and want my heat to work when I drive it out of his garage. I

I called this business may 20th asking if they can work on engines for mini coopers as mine needed a full rebuild of the engine, they said yes but it would be roughly two weeks before they could look at it and another 2 months afterwards to complete the job for around $2,000 labor + parts, I agreed to this and dropped the car off may 29th with the keys and parts needed to complete the job minus a few parts they said they could order from the dealer (Connecting Rod bearings, gaskets, and bolts) i also put a down payment of $1500 for labor. after about 3 months i then contacted them and asked them for a update on my car as they have made absolutely zero attempts to call me and they said they are waiting on a lift to get the car on. They didn't even start working on it at this point. I then gave them a few more months and called back he said he needed a second set of valve seals as the set I bought came with 8 of the ******************************************************************************* time it is January 2nd i then started calling more regularly as I needed my vehicle so they took the engine down to bare block on august 23rd and supposedly shipped off the head on December 12th it is now January 3rd and I still do not have my vehicle I called today after 4 calls they never answered my phone, I called not even 2 minutes later with a diffrent nunber and they answered first ring and stated their machinest hasn't gotten back to them due to holidays and as well as they are having a hard time installing the connecting rods as they came with no instructions, I then gave them the number for the sales team for the connecting rods and they said they'd call with a update. I have not gotten a call, or my car, and I am verry upset about this. I also have well over $2,000 into this job as well as paying insurance on the vehicle still and I haven't even gotten to drive it.

I am writing to share my concerning experience with Autoworx Pittsburgh regarding repairs to my 2013 *** X3. I paid $2,568.83 for repairs related to the timing chain, but my experience has left me dissatisfied and concerned about the businesss practices. After an initial teardown of my vehicle, Autoworx informed me that additional repairs, including an engine replacement, would be necessary. Upon learning the estimated costs, I instructed the shop to halt further repairs. The shop then attempted to pressure me into engaging in insurance fraud against the warranty company. On three separate occasions, both the owner and an employee tried to persuade me that it was acceptable to submit claims for work that was never completed. When I refused to participate in this unlawful practice, they then proceeded to charge me for unauthorized labor hours and parts that were never installed. The Pennsylvania Consumer Protection Law (73 P.S. ***** et seq.) requires repair facilities to obtain explicit, written authorization from customers before performing any additional work beyond the agreed-upon scope. Autoworx failed to secure this authorization, which I believe constitutes an unfair and deceptive trade practice.Despite my efforts to resolve this matter amicably, the shop has not addressed my concerns or adjusted the charges. I am now left with no choice but to escalate my complaint.I urge others to exercise caution when considering Autoworx Pittsburgh for vehicle repairs and encourage the business to reflect on its practices to ensure fairness and compliance with consumer protection laws.Desired Resolution:I request that Autoworx release the car, and admit that charges for unauthorized work and parts not installed. Additionally, I urge the business to adhere to ethical and lawful practices moving forward.
