**** Davis Restoration failed to complete our kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room remodeling. We paid a deposit of $7,203.63. They demolished our kitchen the 1st week of March, 2024, that was 12 weeks ago, and they still haven't and have no intention of finishing the job. They outsourced another company which did the abatement of mold and asbestos in March, 2024, for which they received over $11,000. After that, our kitchen, bath, and laundry room have not been touched. We are a family of 4 living without a kitchen and we're in desperate need to get our deposit money back so we can hire another contractor to rebuild everything. Said construction zone is a safety hazard, with exposed wiring and exposed nails sticking out of the floor boards. They failed to dispose all the materials they removed during the demo and they left them in our garage and in the construction zone. We requested to cancel our signed contract on 5/22/24. They keep dragging us back and forth every time we call or email, instead of telling us when we'll get our money back. The promised completion of the job was 2 months. Communication between their team members is non-existent.

    2/2/24

On November 21st 2023 my husband was taken to ******* Hospital for open heart surgery and when I got him home from the hospital I found my basement flooding.  There was no stopping the backup from the sewer into my basement.  The next day I called public works and the unclogged the sewer pipes but my basement was already full of excrement, toilet paper and sludge from the sewer.  This continued for about twelve hours.  I called my insurance company to report what had happened and a claim was initiated.

The insurance company called and they were sending someone right aways to asses the damage. (The lady's name was ****).  They sent a man from Paul Davis Restoration to take pictures.  The stench in my house was horrendous and I had to open the windows upstairs in the house.

Two more men came and started the cleanup right away. At five o'clock they brought up a big air purification fan, and told me they weren't returning until Monday 11-27-23 because the next day was Thanksgiving Day.

They returned Monday the 27th and Tues 28th then on Wed the 29th of November on of the men had me sign a tablet with my finger that they had finished cleaning and disinfecting the basement.

Because I was getting a ride to the hospital I really did not notice that they had not finished cleaning and disinfecting.

My daughter later went down to the basement to check and see how the basement was; my sister happened to come in at that time and they both noticed that the basement was not finished.

My daughter called Paul Davis and told them that the work was not acceptable and a man named *** the mitigator came the next day and agreed the work was not acceptable and would an estimate to adjust the price of the cleanup.  We never received my estimates or heard from ***.  I called him after about 2 weeks had gone by and he told me I needed to empty the basement so they could finish cleaning and it was going to cost more than $10,000.00 where is the insurance company was.  My daughter sent pictures to the adjuster ***** ****** and she sent us a check for $10,000.00 which is what they are paying now they want all the money without having finished all the work.

I spoke to someone who is willing to finish the job for $2,000.00.

I'm at a crossroads.  Do I pay them the full amount? *** said if they finished cleaning the basement I would have to remove all the boxes and whatever else was down there and it would cost way more than $10,000.00.

My insurance company is ****** Homeowners Insurance - through ******* Insurance Agency Inc.

I had a water pipe burst in my house in June 2022. My insurance company recommended Paul Davis in Harleysville, PA for repairs. They did do mitigation for the kitchen but never looked at my cabinets, appliances, walls, furnace, countertops or basement area for water damage. They did the floor and ceiling in my kitchen and part of my dining room only. Sometime later, I began to have issues with my furnace, appliances, countertops and developed a gas and Carbon Monoxide leak from my stove from the appliance possibly being moved and rehooked up incorrectly. My son and I suffered Carbon monoxide exposure and had to be seen in the local emergency department. I had to pay out of pocket for two appliances, furnace repairs, countless HVAC bills, time off of work, medical bills from the leaks. The work was finished poorly, part of the floor was not even finished. I contacted Paul Davis and they were not helpful at all. In fact, they were threatening to pay my remaining bill via email and phone. The contractor that came to my house was rude, broke items in my house and his work was sub par. I have documents of my expenses upon request if necessary.

On June 9, 2022, Paul Davis Restoration of Montgomery and Berks County received a claim from State Farm about a pipe burst at **. ****** residence.  Our mitigation team found the source of loss to be a burst pipe in the ceiling above the area where the kitchen/dining room are located.  Once on property, our team took numerous photos, including the basement ceiling, to ensure there was no water damage past the 1st floor.  After submitting the reports and photos to **. ****** insurance company, they approved the repairs on the original source of loss.  Our team submitted all the proper paperwork to the insured and the insurance company as well as receiving a signed certificate of satisfaction from the client prior to final billing (see attached).
After reaching out to ************** on several occasions for final payment, she returned our calls on November 14th requesting to be put on a payment plan, although she had already been paid in full by her insurance company. We accommodated **************, however, we never received payment nor were we able to contact her and on December 12, 2022, this account was sent to collections.
