On 07October2023 I had an oil change at the United Tires In Phoenixville. I paid the expected amount and I have the receipt if its required. During the oil change I received a call that my driving side rear break light was broken. I opted to not have it repaired. (When I picked up my car I confirmed with a few witnesses that my brake light was in fact not broken.) I became more suspicious when they were on the phone with another client telling them that both of their back brake lights where broken and needed repair. On my drive home from the shop my car dash signaled low tire pressure on my back driving side tire. I filled it with air the next day and with success. Because of their false claims that my brake lights were broken I have suspicion to believe my tire on the same side was messed with on purpose/ by accident.

      Business Response

      Date: 10/19/2023

We appreciate the opportunity to reply. It appears that the customer is confused. We merely explained that his brake light bulb was out, and these are very low-cost items. Less than $20 in most cases. It's not the housing or lens for the car, it's just the bulb. His reply was something close to the following. "Nah man I take care of those (expletive) things myself.".

As far as the tire pressures go, with dropping temperatures, we see a lot of vehicles needing to add air at this time of year. For every 10 degrees in outside temperature tires lose 1 psi.  Good to hear that adding air resolved the concern.

With regard to other customers, I believe the conversation is out of context and also not relevant to this customer's service. We have an excellent reputation and have been in business for several decades. If the customer wishes to discuss this, he certainly can give us a call. ************.

      Respectfully submitted.
