    On 6/28/24 *** Duffin agreed to exterminate bedbugs at our house. He said that they were present in 3 rooms on one floor of our 4 floor house. He told us that heat treatments wouldn't work, so he used pesticides. We were due to leave for vacation and he said that we should go and that there would be no negative effects. When we returned 10 days later, the bedbugs had spread to other floors. We told him there were still bedbugs and he said that that is normal and "part of the process." He sprayed a 2nd time. We continued to see bedbugs, and he continued to assure us that was expected. He sprayed a 3rd time on 7/26. We contacted him again to say that there are still bedbugs, and he said it was probably a new infestation and not his fault. He said that he would come out and spray again, which we declined as it is clearly not working. We asked for him to refund a portion of the $2,500 we paid him (specifically, to take out pay for the 30 minutes he spent at our house for each treatment and the cost of pesticides, which presumably comes to less than $500). We hired a reputable company who found that the main source of the bedbugs was a shelf above one of the beds, which *** did not treat during any of the three times he came. Since we had to pay $7,500 to get the entire house heat treated, we'd like a refund for the money that was wasted on his failed attempts.
