Amerigas never checks my meter and over charges me they never answer emails they never are helpful on chat theyre not helpful on phone calls its been a continuous problem with them since I bought the house my neighbors have the same complaints against them I rather kicked them off our propane system and get another company but the whole neighborhood has to agree to it also one time they checked my meter and charged me ******************************************************* they could do four payments of 700 dollarsBusiness Response

Yeah Im satisfied for this month but itll be a continuous problem every month Im gonna have to call them to tell them my meter reading and Im getting charged a meter fee why am I paying them that if Im gonna be reading the meter for them Ive emailed there main company to ask for a digital meter but I never get any response as per usual this is the only time the companys actualy reached out to me my neighbors all have the same complaint against them I feel they just dont careCustomer Answer

I have been trying to resolve Amerigas's billing error for nearly a year. They billed me for tank rental which I promptly paid. Apparently, this wasn't recorded. My bank statement clearly shows the electronic check was cashed by Propane Services. I have called, emailed, sent **** mail about this at least a dozen times and Amerigas continues to show I have a balance due. This company has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I am desperate to get rid of them but must ensure this billing error is resolved so it doesn't affect my credit.Initial Complaint

AmeriGas sent me a Bill with fraudulent charges. Ive spent over 3 hr's with their totally unprofessional *********** without resolution. During the Hurricane the plastic cover to our buried propane tank washed away. I called AmeriGas Service to see if they would replace the cover. They said they would at no charge and scheduled an appointment which they never showed up for. After 3 weeks without a response, I took it upon myself to order a replacement. On Oct 26th a representative from AmeriGas showed up (he was temporary from ***********************). He had 3 different Covers, none of which fit our opening. I told him to keep them as I had already taken care of it myself. NO OTHER SERVICES Were Performed. I then received a Fraudulent Bill for $322.41. I've asked 3 times to Please have a supervisor from the *** call me. I've sent correspondence to their online **************** site. I've sent an email to: *************************************** as directed by their *********** Supervisor. I haven't received any reply back from any source. AmeriGas finally contacted me after your communication. They have admitted it was a mistake and are going to credit our account. Such a shame it took this step to get simple customer service! I appreciate your assistance.

Amerigas Contract Dispute Account #******** I am receiving notices from Amerigas about a one time propane purchase made on on July 25, 2024. As I told the customer service person that took my order, I made the purchase to check the furnace at a vacant house that I inherited from my mother. I bought the minimum amount, 100 gallons and paid by credit card for the amount purchased. I never agreed to a contract and never signed a contract. Further the representative never mention payment would be needed to close an account.After the delivery someone called to tell me they needed to get specific information off of the propane tank, and I was asked to meet them at the property. The representative that I met with looked at the tank and told me that Amerigas should never have loaded propane in this tank because it belonged to another gas company. No one told me at the time I ordered or at the delivery time that it was a ********** August, I began receiving statements from Amerigas. Amerigas is billing me $160.49 to close the account that was intended for a one time purchase. I have written a letter explaining why I would not pay the new charges and I received a voicemail saying I am responsible for the charges and the late fees. The total comes to $195.49 at this time.I want this account closed without these additional charges. All purchases have been paid in full and I was never informed that they would try to collect additional money after the one time delivery.Business Response

I have a rented 1000 gallon propane tank with 80 % of fuel in it. after 30 phone calls in 3 months . i have been trying to have them pick it up cancel the rental and credit be for the fuel in it. they say there going to pick up and never do. at one point i call they said it was already picked up. the i had to send pictures that it wasn't. they where supposed to come october 31 st to pickup and did not again. the company has no idea of what there doing. bad company. i want it picked up were moving.Business Response

On 29-OCT-2024 I received a voice message from Amerigas stating that I was scheduled for a site survey (which I had requested, for a larger propane tank, at my secondary residence, 133 miles from my primary residence) between 1 PM and 3 PM on 30-OCT. Screenshot of iPhone transcription of the voice message is attached. This transcription is imperfect, and so I am also attaching the transcription that I made of the voice message.The Amerigas technician did not arrive during the stated timeframe, and at 3:34 PM I called the customer service agent who had scheduled the site survey. The phone was not answered and I left a message. I called again at 4:01 PM and left another ********** 4:14 PM I called the general customer service number, and the call center worker told me that, in effect, the Amerigas technicians could not be depended upon to arrive during their scheduled timeframe but would definitely arrive, though I may need to wait an additional one or two ******* 4:29 PM, the agent who had scheduled the site survey called me back and explained that there had been no site survey scheduled; that Amerigas doesn't schedule site surveys by voice message, and that she could have someone at the residence the following day. I declined this offer on the basis that I needed to be at work, from which I was currently absent due to the need to drive two hours to attend the Wednesday site survey.Initial Complaint

I called AmeriGas on 10/31/24 at ************ to request to be taken off of their mailing list. The solicitation mailing I received was addressed to:Jeffor ***** ******** ******************************************* I was told by two different people (**** and *****) that they could not remove me from a mailing list unless I had an account with them. I told them I do not have an account with them, rather, they were soliciting me to start an account with them. They still insisted that I needed to have an account with them or there was nothing they could do to remove me from a mailing list. This makes no sense at all! There suggestion was to "discard" the mailings when I receive them. If you can assist with getting them to remove me from their mailing list, I would be very grateful.Business Response

I BOUGHT MY PROPANE TANK FROM AMERIGAS ON 10-24-24.I PAID $3180 FOR IT AND RECIEVED AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION.I AM SWITCHING TO ANOTHER COMPANY AND NEED A BILL OF SALE.I WAS TOLD I WOULD GET IT IN 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS.AFTER 5 BUSINESS I CALLED. My husband passed away November 8, 2023. He is the holder of the account with ********************** to have propane delivered to our home we own jointly. I have attempted to contact Amerigas many many times and was told no one could talk to me because my name was not on the account. (I did e-mail them a death certificate on two occasions.) was also hung up on many times. After 10 months, I contacted a local delivery company who said they would take care of everything. After the new company removed the tank from the ground. Amerigas did come to pick up their tank while causing excessive damage to yard and water utility box. I then received a bill from Amerigas for $312.98, dated October ******* for account ********* for Service-Sales Order. The bill was addressed to my husband who holds the account and is deceased. They still will not talk to me. I would like this account closed with a zero balance and the utility box replaced before an injury occurs.
