This occurred on 7/6/2023 I had made a verbal agreement with the mechanics at cyclemax to do a number of repairs on a motorcycle. The agreement was made to replace the front forks, make sure the timing is in check, and make sure there are no leaks of coolant. The agreement also stated that this would all be completed within a week notice with a starting fee of $275. The repair took over a month and they had called me multiple times to ask details about the motorcycle and they then at one point called me and said the final estimate was over $1275. Assuming that everything we had agreed upon over the phone was completed I accepted the estimate and then waited an additional 2 weeks for cyclemax to finish the repair. Once I was notified that the repair was completed I went to pick up the motorcycle. To my surprise nothing that was agreed upon was completed to my bike and the total including tax was over $1,300. The forks on the motorcycle had actually become more damaged and ended up leaking all over my front tire. There was coolant and oil leaking from the one side of the engine. And the timing was actually the only thing that was completed. The owners and employees at cyclemax then began to become frustrated when I asked why and what happened to the agreement and they said it was my fault for not knowing that they could not fix an air fork on a motorcycle and told me that I had to leave their property after fully paying for the repairs that were never actually completed. I was cursed at and told I would not be allowed back because I questioned their honesty and method of work. I believe I was overcharged about $500-$700 and the motorcycle had not undergone any repair other than 3 new bolts and the timing being fixed. I am willing to negotiate a new and fair price to pay them but I should not be held accountable to pay the full amount because practically none of the agreement was fulfilled on cyclemax’s end.

    Business Response

    Hello,

This customer brought in a vehicle that didn't run. He was given an estimate to repair and get it running, to which he agreed. The estimate was exactly what we charged. The customer appears to be trying to get us to discount labor even though he was aware of the cost prior to the repairs. All repairs were done. We explained the repairs and process to the customer multiple times. What he believes was done to fix the machine and what was actually done are two different things. Due to the behavior the customer exhibited in the store he has been asked to find another dealership to do business with. We will not be discounting labor and we will not be refunding anything to this customer. He was charged a fair price and was aware of what the charges would be prior to the final bill.

    Thank you,

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

mad agreed upon a price for all repairs to be done and only 1 of them was completed. Once I picked up my vehicle you told me that your team does not work on air forks and that you only replaced the gaskets and bolts. We agreed upon air fork replacement which would have made the agreed upon payment fair but it was not completed nor even looked at. I did not ask for a discount I actually asked for a reasonable price for the half effort/work you and your team did. I have notes from the beginning of the drop off of my vehicle with everything I asked you to complete and I agreed upon a price thinking all of these repairs would be complete but only 1 of these repairs was actually completed and the other 2 major repairs were completely ignored yet still added to the payment.

I have attached a video showing proof of the ignored repair that I was charged in full for as well.

    Regards,
