On 4/3 I was sent a survey by TRC Market Research which was supposedly "sponsored by United Health" and which inquired on my clinical panel and insurance mix. The survey promised $50 for completion. I completed the survey, which took around 10 min., but I was shocked to find that there was no payment as I didn't meet the qualifications. I deeply distrust this company for their deceptive bait and switch practices! I took the survey, but I'm still waiting on my $50 as promised. Below is the text of the email I received:Hi ****,UnitedHealthcare values your opinion and has partnered with a trusted research firm, TRC Market Research, to collect feedback from health care professionals like you. Were inviting you to to complete a brief online survey to assess your experiences with the provider onboarding process.Your valuable feedback will help to improve the experience that you have in working with insurers. This survey will take about ***** minutes and is completely confidential. Responses will not be linked to individuals and will only be analyzed in aggregate. For completing the survey, you will receive a $50 Amazon e-gift card from TRC.Your time is greatly appreciated.start survey

    Business Response

    I looked into this matter.

The complainant rresponded to a legitimate survey invitation and attempted to do the survey on 4/3.   She was not qualified and as such we generally do not pay an incentive (it takes very little time to screen out of the survey, the incentive it paid in exchange for doing a longer questionnaire).

On 4/5/ she complained through our help desk about the situation.

On 4/6, we issued her the gift card and she confirmed that she received it.  We did this not because we were obligated, but because we do value the publics good will and wouldnt want her to leave with a  bad impression of the industry.

I do not know when the complaint was made, but as you can see we moved very quickly on this when she complained directly to us (on 4/5).   If for some reason she has not received the gift card (sent via email) I would suggest she check her SPAM folder.  If she can't find it, she can reach out to me directly and I will line her up with my folks who can get her the gift card information again.

I feel we have gone above and beyond here, and I expect that as soon as the facts are verified this will be removed from our record.

    Thank you.

I was invited to participate in a survey on 10-19 and upon completion of the survey was promised compensation of an $80 ****** e-gift card. As of 11-9-2023 no payment has been received. Furthermore, they have been contacted by phone on several occasions, and no-one answers the phone. A voice mail was left on 10-30-23, but no-one has called back.
