    A contract to finish a basement and add a bathroom was signed on 1/11/23. As of today (around 2.5 years later) the room and bathroom are not complete per the contract.The amount $41150 was paid in full for completion. The full amount on the contract and added money for adjusted add ons.I feel that by the details of the contract, $15,000 + is owed back but offered to settle at $10,000 which was the last 25% of the contract. The last 25% was not to be paid until the contract requirements were complete. Due to various issues, **** ******** requested additional money because he didnt have the money already provided for materials up to that point in time. If the last 25% is paid back, I will consider the problem resolved. If i need to go to court, I will look to sue for the total amount to finish the contract and for time and emotional distress caused to me and my family.
