She said the books needed cleaned up and we purchased a tax prep package for $4,050. She kept stringing me along with excuses and then stopped responding to my calls and emails the last month it is possible to file my taxes. This unethical and fradulant behavior is why I am seeking the asssitance of the BBB to get my money back so I can hire someone who will actually be able to file my 2024 taxes.

    Complaint has no merit. 

    Bookkeeping was completed so as to have accurate financials for preparing 2024 tax returns. However a series of internal and personal issues delayed our ability to provide the completed tax returns on time. Our tax preparer left us high and dry. My mother was in the hospital and then came home needing home health care and I am the sole provider. I put my back out on numerous occasions this summer and was unable to work consistently. Then my Mother broke her arm and required much more help than before.

    Client has a business that requires an S-Corp tax return and a personal tax return. These returns were sent to a CPA firm, **************** for preparation on July 19, 2025. Final returns were completed and sent to the client on August 4th and August 18th. Client didn't respond to these messages. E-signature requests were also sent. No response. This complaint was lodged and we resent the documents to the client. No response yet. My payment of **************** Invoices show the client, Sawdust and ***** and ***** and ********* ***** were provided the services in the contract. We didn't profit from them as we had to pay another provider to fulfill our service contract.

    Attached are documents showing this. I am not including the tax returns themselves as that would breach the privacy laws.
