April 24, 2024 mailed check for $1,956.00 to Mr. ********************** of ************************************************* PA#******. They sent out 2 "drywalling experts" on May 6th. Mr. ********************** committed to provide installing drywall in our kitchen ceiling. The ceiling work is terrible. Bow in the middle of the ceiling, exposed screws, etc. When we called Mr. ********************** we spoke to ******** and she stated that our house is over 100 years old and that is how the ceiling is. However, when the installers framed the ceiling, they never checked for level. This has nothing to do with the age of our house. We were told by the owner that they will be doing nothing to fix our issues, but if we hired them to do the spackling (for a fee), they could make the ceiling perfectly flat. Money Grab?

Our company objective is to provide an exceptional customer experience.  We are truly sorry you were not 100% satisfied.  You had originally sent us a few photos with concerns of a miscut piece of drywall and a few screws not set, also stating the techs miscut drywall by cutting off 2 factory finished beveled edges and that the drywall you purchased had finished edges on all 4 sides. As a heads up, there is no such thing as drywall with 4 finished sides.  We happily offered to send our technicians back to your home to address these issues. Before we could get there to address the issues, you started with bad reviews. Your requested estimate was to frame the ceiling and install drywall with no taping or spackling, which we did.Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a perfect drywall installation, even in new construction. Our offer to send you a quote to tape and spackle the drywall was not a money grab whatsoever, it was an offer to make your ceiling look as it should once spackled and sanded. It should be noted that you cannot judge the look and final outcome until the drywall is properly finished. Our technicians that we sent to you have been with us for over 2 years and have nothing but commendations and are often requested to go and do additional work at repeat customers homes. Our techs went back to resolve any issues you had, only for you to then blast us with more issues. We have not had this kind of response from any of our customers regarding the techs we sent to you ever because they do exceptional work.  Our techs who worked on your project, the Director of New Business who provided your estimate and our Office Manager explained to you - without taping and spackling, drywall is not going to look like finished drywall.  In general, you need 0.05 pounds of drywall mud, also known as sheetrock joint compound, for every square foot of drywall. This means you'll need 1.5 to 2 pounds of mud for a 4x8 foot sheet of drywall. To calculate how much mud you need for a project, multiply the total square footage by 0.053. For example, if you're installing ***** square feet of drywall, you'll need 84.8 pounds of mud. To review this information yourself just ****** how much mud is needed for drywall.

Found Mr Handyman of Easton on the BBB website. Contacted in perfect trust of good ratings. On Nov.22 i sent $1616.63 as per estimate requiring "50% deposit and 50% at completion". On Dec. 12 and 13 and half day on 14th Mr Handyman worked at my house. On the 14 mr Handyman stated was told to go to another job and required another $750 to assemble 8x4 shed on top of original estimate. I asked for it in writing. Instead, got office call to just finish pay in full "call and pay by charge card" and Owner messaged "let us know when doors in, will come back out to install along with assembling 2 chairs". On the 15 the office left message threatening "$40 late fees start on wednesday". Emailed Lon the owner that i am very displeased by having our shed open and left undone on the ground, the lack of transparency on the estimates and the nasty calls, and did not wish any more from them. The reply was a "$200 credit" i never got on the shed and new final estimate of $1079.10 which i paid on 12/19. Now our doors came in and remain on the floor. Strongly believe were robbed by at least $600 to put it mildly and also wish to spare other innocent people a similar experience with this Mr Handyman. Very sad :(

************************* was provided an estimate for $3,233.25 for multiple projects.  She hired Mr Handyman and provided a 50% deposit, see attached estimate.  She was supposed to provide 2 storm doors and when we arrived to complete the work, she did not have the storm doors so we could not install them.  In addition, she had received a 2nd shed that was not present when we did the estimate at her location. We were told that it would be very similar to another shed she had at the time.  The new shed was much larger and different and had over 125 parts not including all of nuts and bolts, etc.  We explained to her on location that there would be an up charge for the shed assembly $748.00.  She told our tech that this made sense and requested a written estimate which we emailed to her.  About this time one of our office staff accidently called ******** and requested the final 50% payment.  This was done by mistake, the office staff confused ********'s account with another account where we had completed this work.  We explained this to ********, but she continued to be upset and she sent the below email with the following comment canceling all of the remaining projects requesting a revised bill.

      Subject: Re: FW: Payment

Please adjust the remainder without the doors and don't come out with another 200 for I will not believe it. The big issue is the lack of itemized anything, and we're left with wondering about that while we get to stare at parts of the shed left open half under a tarp outside getting soaked and possibly ruined.  Will send final check asap after you remove any further labor!

We sent ******** a revised bill, see attached and subtracted out the unfinished projects and did not charge her for the 2nd shed up-charge.  She agreed to the adjustment and paid the bill in full. You will see on the invoice all of the items we listed as COMPLETED.  Mr Handyman reduced her bill by -$537.52 and she paid a total of $2,695.73 for the work that was completed vs. the original estimate of $3,233.25.

Mr Handyman feels that we proved the following to *************************

*A fair price for the work and materials provided and projects completed
*Communication on all matters including the request for payment hiccup
*Provided a bill that outlines a clear breakdown of what was completed and the reduction of items from this bill – see attached bill and email
*An upcharge shed estimate for 100% clarity see attached
      *A fair resolution

We are very sorry that ************************* is not 100% happy but we feel that we have done everything in our ability to satisfy this customer.

Mrhandyman is just twisting it the way it pleases them. For one I never received no 2nd written estimate for "larger shed" but I can show email in which a working link was provided to him prior to 1st estimate. There was no accident in the harassing phone calls they are the normal modus operandi of this franchise. I paid under duress hoping in some later honesty from this company but there is none. Buyer beware :(
