On Mon, 5/12/25, ** ******* seal-coated our driveway using a spray method. After he left, we noticed tar splatters all over the bottom panels of both white garage doors. We contacted *** ******** and he suggested using **** dish soap and water, which did not remove the stains. On Tues, 5/13, *** ******* returned to clean the doors. He said he would use **** and water, and also told us the few visible driveway cracks would fill in on their own. From our security camera footage, we saw him spray and wipe the doors with what appeared to be ****. He then retrieved a different spray bottle from his truck and sprayed something else on the doors. He left without saying anything. Afterward, we found a chemical-smelling, yellowish substance with green streaks on the doors. It appeared he had rubbed the paint off and tried to cover it up. We immediately called him. He returned, denied using anything but ****, and quickly left after stating he would paint the doors, offering no details. We were left concerned and confused. We contacted the garage door manufacturer and learned our lifetime paint warranty is now void due to improper chemical use. We obtained quotes from three painting professionals ($700$1,200) for proper restoration. On Wed, 5/14, we left voicemails with *** ******** On Thurs, 5/15, we informed him that we had quotes and expected him to cover the cost. He called back agitated, refused to consider our quotes, and vaguely stated he had a painter coming Saturday. He would not provide details or listen to our concerns. Frustrated and alarmed, we expressed ourselves emotionally (non-threateningly). He abruptly said he felt threatened, referenced his brother being a cop, threatened to call police, and told us to lose his number. He then hung up. We stopped payment on our $183 check sent in good faith and contacted local police for guidance. We request *** ******* pay for the professional repainting of our garage doors and fill the remaining driveway cracks.
