    computer crashed Friday a week ago. took to McMobile, which is where I bought it. Logic board crashed. I was told over the phone my data was safe, I think Monday, 9/30, cost of repairs. I agreed. Picked up computer 10/3. got home. all data gone. no one told me all my data was gone. they returned my logic board to ***** before giving me the option of spending thousands of dollars to recover whatever data was there. Likely 60-70%. Mcmobile is responsible for that. Im responsible for 30-40% of the lose. Im sick. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. I lost medical records. personal records. professional records. personal journals. professional journals. books. essays. poems. art. the last 4 years of my life. McMobile made a mistake. a human error. returning my logic board before giving me the option to get the data left on it. it was careless and extremely consequential. the cost for the info, pain and suffering isn't in my wheel house to establish. however it's enormous. I will be filling a claim, likely next week in the ****************. McMobile made a mistake. They need to be held accountable for it. I am a registered voter, tax payer, and property owner.

    We had miscommunication about data loss, unfortunately. However, we have restored data up to about a year ago and customer was pleased with our efforts to restore data. Customer told us that there is no more complaints and he would continue coming our store for *** needs. I believe this case was resolved.

    Its true what Mcmobile stated. However they are minimizing the catastrophic loss to unique information. As indicated in their response, stating 12 months of data. It was 14 months of data loss. The price of the laptop they sold me 14 months ago that crashed. And 14 months of my life. And my the brand new Mac Book Pro that they transferred the data to doesnt look or feel like my desktop. Opening my brand new computer creates daily anxiety. Daily pain and suffering. Im considering switching from Mac Book Pro to PC. If i need to learn a new computer, i think i should give pc a try. Im not that savvy and im old. I just need something to document my work. I dont need an Apple like i always thought i did. 
    Its true, i was satisfied for a moment. However, their error is having an enormous impact on my life. The loss of data is creating daily anxiety attacks, depression, crying, melancholy, and feeling sick. Its crippling. These are health issues i didnt experience at this level before this loss. 
    The 14 months of data was focus on organizing the work ive been working on for decades. My health issues limit me. Im 64 years old. The info lost was 14 months of editing and organizing, my childrens books, fiction and nonfiction books, political cartoons, drawing, sketches, and poetry. Getting my work ready for publishing.
    The loss is crippling.
    I have evidence to support my issues. Im not exaggerating or being hyperbolic. 
    I love Mcmobile. But they are not accepting responsibility for sending my logic board off to ***** before consulting me. Human error. 
    I intend to take them to small claims court.
    I dont intend to share on social media because i love Mcmobile.
    They lost 14 months of work, my life. Like 40 hrs a week of writing, drawing, editing, etc. Preparing for publishing.
    Im on SSDI.
    My health issues are already limiting. My health records, health journal, and personal journal, are gone. 14 months of important health info. Gone. 
    And ALL this, is just the tip of my loss. I dont have the words for the colossal loss yet. This will impact the rest of my life. The quality of the rest of my life.
    I remain at a loss to describe it. Its not like grieving/mourning for a love one that died. Or a dog that died. Its unique and dis-similar. 
    Small claims max is $12,000. That, plus the money, Mcmobile has on account for me, and free support for my new Mac Book Pro for the next 14 months, is the settlement i need.
