I hired this company to install new gutter on a house after a new roof and new soffit and fascia was installed so there were no existing gutters. They no call no showed 5 days in a row and then did a shoddy job installing the gutters and downspouts. When they came to fix they damaged my new roof in multiple spots with their feet and ladder and and the gutters on the garage is cut too short and they riddled the gutters with extra screws because the hangers they used werent compatible with the drip edge. The installers made the gutters on garage worse, and ruined my new fascia. They do not speak good English could not communicate with them. They were very hostile that they had to fix mistakes and left after screaming at me and telling me its not their problem. I have many more pictures.Business Response

I believe there was miscommunication between the Salesman and the customer about the install date. The production staff did not have this job scheduled for the days he believed it was. We came the day that the production team said we would be there. Max called us and told us he was unhappy with the install and during that call he asked the production staff to just call it a wash for his remaining balance. We told him no we want you to be fully satisfied with the install, so the crew and manager came out to address the issues. As soon as they arrived Max asked my manager to just credit the balance off and we can all go our separate ways. We again told him we would correct the issues which we began to do. During the corrections Max became verbally abusive to our installers and insulated them because they didn't speak perfect English. They were trying to explain to him what issues some of the things he was asking them to do would cause water flow issues for him. He asked them if they even know what they are doing and how to read a tape measure. He became very irate, and our installers thought it was best that they just leave before things escalated. He also stated that he was upset that he could see inside the gutters from his hill which we cannot help his elevations of his house. Again, we are happy to correct anything wrong but at this point he already installed gutter guard over the gutters so there must not be many issues anymore.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Response to Business Reply:
1. Miscommunication Claim
There was no miscommunication. The salesman clearly told me, multiple times via phone, text, and email, that the crew would arrive tomorrow at 11 AM. This happened for five consecutive daysnone of which they showed up. I have written proof of this. Additionally, I specifically texted the salesman, Send me a good crew because if its not right, I will want it redone, to which he replied, They will do a good job.
2. Poor Quality of Work
While Im not a gutter installer, Ive worked in the construction field for years and understand the fundamentals. This job was done poorly across the boardimproper tools, lack of skill, and a crew either unwilling or unable to do quality work. I chose not to let them return, fearing further damage, and instead requested a credit so I could hire competent professionals to **** the job. I hired this company based on a positive past experience from 10 years ago, when my father used your services for three properties with excellent results. I expected the same quality and did not receive it.
3. Installer Behavior and Roof Damage
I only raised my voice after the installers became aggressive, swore at me in a foreign language, and told me my roof is bad and not their problem. Regardless of the roof condition (which I dispute), a professional gutter installer should be capable of working with such conditions or offering solutionsnot blame.
The lack of trust stems from repeated dishonesty, evasion, and ultimately ignoring major issues like the damage your crew caused to my brand-new roof and fascia. Multiple s**** holes and foot traffic have compromised the integrity of both. Ive consulted several professionals who confirmed that installers should work from ladders, not walk on a roofespecially a new one. Your manager was present during this and left without resolving anything, despite being there to facilitate communication.
4. Payment and Intentions
I never refused payment. I offered to pay the crew on the initial install day, and they declined. It wasnt until after they left that I noticed how poorly the job had been done. Any implication that I never intended to pay is false.
In Closing
The core concerns are unresolved:
Damage to my new roof and fascia
Garage gutters installed below the drip edge and too short
Excess s**** holes causing potential water intrusion
I am still seeking compensation for these serious issues.
(Also, gutter guards were only installed on the house. The garage remains uncovered, collecting debris and potentially causing a clog to my drainage system due to improper installation.)

As I have stated we are happy to return to address any concerns, but that has been rejected by the customer. I apologize if the salesman (who does not schedule work) misinformed you on when the crew would be there. I don't understand how you know our crew swore at you because I highly doubt you speak Turkish. Only about 0.04% of the ************* speak Turkish and even I would have no clue if they were swearing at me. Did you see the crews damage the roof? I only saw pictures of a few scratch marks on the shingles which is common during a roof installation. I do not think walking on a roof would cause damage unless there is an issue with the shingles themselves. The additional s**** will not cause the fascia any harm. That is the same as using the quickscrew hangers that are screwed through the fascia as well to hold the gutter in place. This was done to try to get the gutter tighter due to the short drip edge installed by your roofer/fascia guy. There was not enough space to get the gutter tucked up behind it properly. That was the point the gutter crew was trying to make as far a "bad roof" goes. As far as payment you made the same comment to 3 different people that you just wanted to call it even and not pay the balance. If you would like we can credit off the remaining balance if you agree to remove your negative posting online which we feel are unjustified. We install around 800-1000 gutter jobs per year from this location, and this is the only contact we have had with the BBB in many years. I think that shows that this is not a normal occurrence and we can all agree there are issues on both sides.Business Response

I appreciate the response, but unfortunately, it continues to deflect responsibility rather than resolve the situation.
To be clear: I did reject your offer to return because the crew demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and competence the first time and I was not comfortable allowing them back on my property. That decision was made to prevent further damage, not to avoid resolution.
Your remarks regarding the language barrier are irrelevant and inappropriate. Regardless of the language spoken, tone and demeanor are universal. The crews behavior was visibly aggressive and unprofessional, and dismissing my account based on the statistical likelihood of my understanding Turkish is both presumptuous and unhelpful.
Regarding the roof damage I personally inspected the roof before and after your install. I was the only other person up there, and I take great care (even going up in socks) to avoid disturbing the new shingles. The damage is exactly where someone would have braced themselves while working on the gutters and where ladders were placed. This wasnt minor scratches this was avoidable damage, caused by a lack of proper equipment and care.
As for the screws your claim that they wont cause harm contradicts every roofing and gutter installation standard. The point is to keep water away from the wood underneath, not drill various holes to invite moisture behind the aluminum.
Yes, I initially wanted to call it even to avoid a drawn-out dispute. But that was before I discovered the roof damage and experienced your teams unwillingness to accept any accountability.
You claim to complete ******* gutter jobs per year and rarely hear complaints. Then this incident should be an exception and treated with the seriousness it deserves.
I am ready to move on from this situation, but not without appropriate restitution for the damage done.
To end this Ill accept the money back that I have given as a down payment, plus a letter stating that I have a zero balance.
I believe this is fair seeing as how the damage to my roof and replacement of garage gutters and fascia repair is well over $2,000.00
