      I purchases glasses (lenses) with a 1 year warranty. I could not see with with said lenses.They were sent back to the lab, remade and I still could not see through these lenses.The person stated, though the 1 year was not up, the could not refund or have the lenses changed again.The lab this company uses cannot make progressive lenses that I can use.       Response to BBB Complaint #********

      To Whom It May Concern,

      Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Complaint #******** regarding Helens experience at Pittsburgh Optical.

      ***** received her annual eye exam and an updated prescription at our office on July 20, 2024. She subsequently purchased ****************** on September 5, 2024, which were manufactured through her insurance provider. According to the providers policy, prescription changes are covered within 60 days from the original dispense date.

      On July 26, 2025, ***** returned for her next annual exam, during which a mild prescription change was noted. Unfortunately, because more than 60 days had passed since the lenses were dispensed, the insurance plan no longer covers a replacement based on the updated prescription.

      However, following the 2025 exam, we did remake Helens lenses under our one-year scratch warranty at no charge. Per the terms of that warranty, the remake had to be done using the same prescription as the original lenses.

      We understand how disappointing and frustrating this situation can be, especially when vision comfort is affected. While we are unable to provide a remake through insurance for the new prescription, we remain committed to Helens satisfaction and are more than willing to manufacture new lenses with her updated prescription at her request.

      We have attempted to contact ***** by phone on August 23 and August 26, 2025, and have left messages inviting her to get in touch with us so we can work toward a resolution.
