We hired Clavis in 2022 to manage our home while we relocated to another state. From the beginning, our experience was problematic and only deteriorated over time.- Emails and concerns were routinely ignored - Requests for live walk-throughs were dismissed - When confronted with issues, **** refused to visit the property Financial Problems - Rent payments to us were consistently delayed. Excuses about bank issues and system problems were common. The most egregious failures occurred in their property management duties:- Upon our return, we discovered extensive damage that was never reported - The "professional" move-out inspection was superficial at best and deceptive at worst - We were only informed about a broken towel rack, when in reality there were multiple items damaged within the home and outside the home. After 6 months of living in our home, we've discovered even larger, more costly problems that could have been found by the ** if a proper inspection had been performed. There is a Complete Lack of Accountability - **** attempted to distance himself from former employees' actions despite those employees using property management email addresses and Clavis signatures - When presented with evidence of mismanagement, excuses were offered instead of solutions - All security deposits were returned to the tenant because of Clavis' inadequate inspection.Had we been properly informed of these damages, the tenant's deposit would have been retained to cover repairs In 21 months of service, Clavis Property Management demonstrated a complete inability to properly manage our property, protect our investment, or act in our best interests. The stress, financial impact, and property damage we experienced were entirely preventable had Clavis performed even the most basic property management duties.

The tenants moved out on September 30 or October 1, 2024. We arrived back at our home on October 4 and immediately noticed damage. We also noticed multiple bottles of pet urine remover spray bottles, both upstairs and downstair ... as well as many Glade plug-ins used upstairs (obviously to mask the odor). The tenants had 2 dogs. We contacted **** at Clavis about the issues we noticed and were not offered any type of solution or apology. We asked **** at Clavis to come to the home and see the damage himself and he declined to do so. We have been working on the house for the past 6+ months and discovering more damage as we go. For instance ... we took out the carpet from the second bedroom (the bedroom that the tenants child used) and immediately noticed a great deal of water (urine?) damage on the subfloor. When we removed the plug-ins from the outlets upstairs we quickly noticed an odor of urine and dirty diapers. That odor persists even now. We have not yet removed the carpeting from the master bedroom and third bedroom and upstairs hallway. I can supply photos of the subfloor in the second bedroom.

Our contract with Clavis was terminated when the tenant moved out. We had no desire to continue doing business with Clavis.
