On 1/18/25 My mother in law was court ordered to hire movers I showed up as the movers were actively moving belongings in the 2nd unit that was rented i asked them how long said 45 mins the main guy who seemed to be in charge only gave me 1 key to the first unit I asked why not both keys as my mil was not allowed to access to the units he told me that when they were finished with the 2nd unit that they had to put more in the 1st even though that one was basically full i had to pick up my children came back 40 mins later they were gone employee at the desk gave me the remaining key to unit she said they told her they never even opened the 2nd unit that they fit everything in the first unit I said I watched them carrying things in there they had alot in there when I left the employee said if they didnt use it it will be unlocked and the keys and lock will still be on the floor of the unit I go check sure enough the unit has the lock on it and no keys left they Blatantly lied she asked them multiple times are you sure bc that's court ordered they continue to lie claiming they NEVER opened the 2nd unit I took pictures of the first unit before I left when I reopened the first unit Nothing else was added like they stated we later gained access to the 2nd unit and infact they had packed that entire 2nd unit i wanna know why they lied and why they took those keys as this is a serious legal matter that they were aware of this was not a case of accidentally leaving with the keys it was intentional as obviously stated they left the remaining key to unit 1 and when specifically asked about unit 2 made up a complete lie there is no excuse for that

Riverfront Moving and Storage is a rogue company in so many ways. They even defrauded the Better Business Bureau because your BBB logo is on their website even though they aren't a member. We paid Riverfront Moving and Storage $495 for zero deductible insurance. We have a receipt for the payment. We have tried to contact them since Feb 2023 because they damaged nine pieces of our furniture. We sent them photos of the damage. They have never honored our contract. They have never returned one of our phone calls or emails. We sent them a registered letter which they signed for. They did not respond. They have been avoiding sending an estimator to our house by never replying to our valid insurance claim for 10 months. They did not deliver 6 large boxes of furniture inside house. Who ever heard of a moving company that didn't deliver all boxes INSIDE A HOUSE TO THE PROPER ROOMS?They did not unpack or set up our furniture as agreed. They delivered many of the boxes to the wrong rooms and wrong floors. We had to hire an additional mover to correct their mistakes. Please get us a refund AND have them send a furniture repair estimator to our house so we can finally fix all the furniture they damaged. And make sure they take the BBB logo off their website as this confuses people thinking they are a member of the BBB.

    Business Response

Here are the documents we have regarding the dispute, and our resolution with the ************ Utility Commission.

Please find descriptions for attached files below for Jack ************ move, from 02/23/23.

    1) Bill of Lading, all documents and waiver forms which were signed by **********;Goldenberg on move date 02/23/23.
-**** was paid in full, no mention of damages or anything noted on contract, or any forms about damages.

    2) On 02/24/23 Jack sent a corresponding email through Podium for us to contact him.
*** contacted Jack via phone call. *********;complained that 6 large boxes were left in his garage that were too heavy to move himself,
and that a table top in the basement was not put together. I asked if he checked the truck at the end of the move, and did a final walk through with the ****** and he said he did.
Even though documents were signed by customer that states we can't go back to a location without recharging them, I offered to send guys out on 02/25/23 at NO cost to customer
to move the boxes where he wanted, and to reassemble the table. Jack stated that he would hire someone else to move the stuff around, and charge me the balance, because he
was exhausted from the move that took too long to do (in his opinion). I informed him that I didn't agree to pay his bill for "other" movers when I had already offered to send a couple
of guys out for free. There was never any mention of damaged furniture.

    3) Jack disputed his credit card deposit for $518.75 on March 13, 2023, stating that goods and services were not as described, because of the 6 boxes in the garage, and table top in the basement.
(Keep in mind that this was a 2 truck 6 man move which was quoted for 10hrs - 12hrs with over 250 boxes, + furniture). We only had 5 men on his job due to a call out, but the staff still completed the
job (working hrs) in *****hrs, and his hourly rate was reduced.

4/5) We responded to the credit card dispute on March 18th, 2023, with all uploaded emails, quote, confirmation, and corresponding Signed contract + waiver forms.

    6) Dispute was resolved in favor of Riverfront Moving & Storage on 05/10/23.

    7) Jack sent an email to us on 05/11/23 claiming damage to furniture with pictures, only after the credit card dispute was resolved in our favor.
-This is the 1st and only mention of any damaged furniture almost 3 months after the move date. All furniture is wrapped, padded, and packaged with heavy duty moving blankets, mirror sections for
glass, and stretch wrapped at the origin address prior to leaving the property. Furniture is NOT draped on the truck.
I called Jack and told him that this was the first mention of anything damaged from his move and that nothing was documented on his contracts, or any corresponding emails.
It is impossible to agree to customers' damage claim, 3 months after a move is completed, and only after a credit card is disputed but not won in their favor.

    8) ********** lapse in coverage)

    9) ********** lapse in coverage)

If you need anything else, let us know. Thank you.

On January 30th, riverfront moving moved my daughter from the ******* suite hotel and damaged the building on the way out of moving. The drivers gave the information of how to get a hold of them to resurrect the damage. The damage was never reported by riverfront and I spoke to the owner, he claims he may not do anything about the damage. I feel this is ludicrous behavior for some linked to the better Business Bureau. The ************* is holding my daughters return deposit due to the damage. She is not the one who hired Riverfront. I am.
