I had my driveway repaired by this company, could not drive on it for over 4 months because it was not hardening and tires from cars tore into the product and started producing holes. I complained then and was told it happens all the time, now 1 year later it is doing it again now the warm weather is here, but when they came to look at it he said they did nothing wrong but I had 3 other company's out and they all agreed the only way to resolve this is to put a sealcoat on it and Porter will not do it to correct it, they want me to pay for it when it was there mistake, he said he would not EVEN GIVE ME A DISCOUNT ! I was told he did not use a proper mix so it is gradually deteriorating even as when I sprayed it with my water hose it left granule of Asphalt on my cement portion of my driveway, he said this was normal and that is a lie. He was very rude to me on the phone even when I told him we thought he did a good job on the recontruction of the driveway to help with water flow issues but the product he used was not good so he told me to take it up with the Asphalt product company even though it was him ordering the product.. I have delt with my Asphalt driveway for the 30 years I have lived here and have never had this happen. I want him to come back and seal it at no cost to me to correct the problem so his work will last and I wont have to have it replaced it. I am a single woman dealing with Cancer and cannot afford the added expense. My neighbor had his done with a different contractor just before mine and is clearly done correctly as he has no issues as I do. Please help !

      Dear ******,

Thank you for bringing ***** ********* complaint regarding tire marks on her asphalt driveway to our attention. At Porter Seal Coating and Paving, we are committed to customer satisfaction and appreciate the opportunity to address this matter.

Approximately one month ago, Porter *******, owner of Porter Seal Coating and Paving, met with Ms. ******** at her property to inspect her asphalt driveway and discuss her concerns about tire markings. After a thorough evaluation, Mr. ******* explained that the tire marks result from vehicles turning their wheels while stationary on the driveway during hot weather, which softens the asphalt and causes temporary marks. He assured Ms. ******** that these marks would fade and become less noticeable with cooler temperatures. At the time, Ms. ******** seemed to understand and agree with this explanation.

Shortly thereafter, Ms. ******** sent text messages indicating she was still dissatisfied. Mr. ******* reiterated that the tire marks are a temporary condition due to environmental factors and that waiting for cooler weather is the appropriate resolution, as no further action is needed. Ms. ******** has expressed reluctance to wait for this natural resolution.

Regarding Ms. ********* claim that three companies suggested applying a sealer to resolve the issue, we respectfully disagree. Tire marks are caused by the physical action of turning tires on hot asphalt, and a sealer would not prevent this issue from recurring. The driveway itself remains in good condition, and Ms. ******** has stated in her complaint that she was satisfied with the paving work performed.

Our contract clearly states that we do not guarantee against tire markings, as they can occur due to factors beyond our control, such as weather and vehicle usage. Additionally, Ms. ********* driveway is now outside the one-year warranty period specified in our agreement. However, in an effort to address her concerns, we are willing to provide a quote for applying a sealer to the driveway, with the clear stipulation that this would not be guaranteed against tire markings, as they are caused solely by drivers turning wheels in one spot on hot asphalt.

We are deeply sorry to hear that Ms. ******** is facing health challenges, and we sincerely wish her a speedy recovery. We remain committed to resolving this matter and are happy to schedule another visit to reassess the driveway or discuss the sealer option further. Please contact us at ************ to proceed.

Sincerely, ******* ******* Porter Seal Coating and Paving

      Hi ******,
      # 1  I am requesting to have my complaint reopened.

      # 3 I am requesting this be done at no charge to me and have it done as soon as possible.

      Thank you,

      Dear ******,
Thank you for forwarding Pattys request to reopen her complaint.
After careful review, we respectfully decline to conduct further business with
*****. As previously communicated, we will not be seal-coating Pattys driveway
at our expense. ***** indicated satisfaction with the paving work in her initial
complaint, and there are no deficiencies in the work performed. As explained, the
issue she is experiencing results from tires being turned on the asphalt during hot
weather, which a seal coat would not resolve. Should ***** wish to pursue a seal
coat, we recommend she engage another company for this service.
We appreciate the opportunity to respond and request that this claim be closed,
as we are unable to reach a mutual resolution.

      Thanks
