      In October 2023, I reached out to Gresham Appliance for a refrigerator repair and ended up paying over $500 in repair bills over the course of a year. Despite 6-7 visits to my home and numerous attempts to fix the refrigerator, they were unable to resolve the issue. Eventually, I sought assistance from another repair shop, which successfully fixed the problem.During the last visit, the repairman/owner indicated that he would issue a reimbursement since he could not resolve my issue. On December 18, 2024, I spoke with the owner, who promised to issue a refund but requested a week to ensure the check would not bounce. Unfortunately, I never received the refund.Since then, I have called Gresham Appliance more than four times to inquire about the status of my refund. Each time, the person who answers assures me that she will inform the owner of my inquiry, but I have yet to receive any follow-up or acknowledgment.We need assistance in obtaining a response from the business owner and securing the promised refund, as we had to pay another company to fix the issue that Gresham Appliance was unable to resolve. Despite multiple payments and assurances of reimbursement, they have not acknowledged our attempts to contact them.

      Called company 7/22/23. Employee came said he'd have to order new k*** for washer to work. 7/24/23 they called said company did not have k*** for my washer they stated they would refund the $31.00 I paid employee to order k*** I have called Gresham Appliances every other day stating I have not received refund. I also paid $100.00 service charge. Receptionist said each time different story. Worker had family troubles couldn't get $ in mail. Then next call to her she stated it was in mail. It was not. To this date 8/11/23 - I have not received refund of $31.00 and my washer remains unfixed. I am 86 yrs old and sorely need the $.

      We went to the client's home on 7/17/23. We found that the unit needed a k*** Because the part was a factory backorder the  client was asked to pre-pay the part. The  manufacturer notified us approx 2 weeks later that the part was NLA (no longer available)  The client was issued a check. Several days later the client called and said they had not received the refund.  We verified her address and she then advised us that the refund needed to be sent to her PO Box 432. ********* , ******. We asked her if we could please bring her the refund to her house. She agreed. On the day we had scheduled to do that we called our client when he was on the way. She became angry and said that we were two hours late and she now wanted us to send another check. The client's daughter also called and we explained that we would send another check. The next day the office called the client and explained that we wanted to bring the refund to her home so that she could sign saying she had received it. She became very upset and said she DID NOT want us to do that. The office explained to her again that we wanted to do it that way so she could sign that she had received it. Client called yesterday 8/14. Was EXTREMELY angry. Would not listen to why we wanted to bring it to the home and get her signature. She became very agitated and talked over the office and would not agree to a day/time. We would like to deliver the refund to our client if they will agree to a day. Thank you

      The receptionist did not explain they needed my signature if they delivered the check to my house therefore I stated to her to mail it to my PO Box 432 ************  She stated to me that the company would  They did not  Each time I called they had a different reply  I have been doing business with that company for 20 years never had this problem before company was sold as owner retired.  I am bed ridden and need verification when check of $31,00 is presented so I can have my caretaker unlock my gate to residence

      We do not work on the weekends. The customer is aware of this. We also can NOT give exact times as we do not know how long each service call will take. Sometimes we are there for 10 minutes sometimes 2 hours. The client is very well aware that the owner is a working owner and is available  Monday thru Friday. We can schedule a 4 hour window between the time frame that we are in her area. The client is trying to make it impossible to return her money. The time frame has been discussed with the client prior to her making a complaint with the BBB. We would really like to resolve this matter as quickly as possible but feel she is purposely making it difficult.

      I do not understand why the  company keeps saying I  have been difficult  I have been recovering from surgery and cant come to door or locked gate  I have asked several times if the $32.00 could be mailed to me  Some time ago the receptionist told my daughter who called on my behalf that the check would be in mail  It was not  My daughter stands as a witness. Am sending you original receipt from Gresham Apliances

      Why do they, Gresham Appliances, say I am making it difficult for them to return the amount they owe me?  I have phoned them  number of times to ask they put check in mail. Three times out of four they have stated to me and my daughter they had done so  Never has check been in mail,  It was stated to me,  the owner (supposedly a ******) could bring it to my house.  That was never done.  I have a doorbell button by the locked gate for people to advise they are at the gate.  I will scan receipt I have this afternoon and include it  The worker who originally came here stated amount to be $31,00 on receipt he wrote $32.00.  This is a sad situation as I have been doing business with this company long before original owner retired.  The new owner would make the retired owner very sad if he were aware of this situation as he knew me and I did business with him for 30 years.

      The daughter did call. We did tell the daughter that we would mail it. However, due to subsequent conversations client was told that we wanted her to sign that she had received the refund. Client has has stated that we did TRY to bring the refund to her home after she requested that and she states that when we called as we headed to her home she said NO. It was too late for her. Now she is refusing to set up a day where we can bring it to her home. She also, thru you ,wanted us to come to her home on Saturday 8/19. Again, we are willing to BRING the refund to her home. All she has to do is arrange with the office and we will set a day and time. Please let us know. Again, this is what we have been going thru. We WANT to refund her money. We just want to make sure we have proof so that there is not a dispute about the refund. Perhaps her daughter could arrange with us?

      We spoke to the complainants daughter the week of 8/28/23. She agreed that we could take the ck. to her house as her mother was not  agreeing to a day or time. She was to call back and schedule that with our company. As of 9/7/23 she has not done that. She did indicate that she had a busy schedule. We did call and leave a message this week for her to call us. Thank you.

      As  0f this date Gresham Appliances has not given me the $32.00 refund they said was due me,  My daughter again contacted them for me and asked they arrive at my residence and ring doorbell giving her and me 20 minute advance notice when they will arrive.  No response and no check.  I would appreciate continued pursuit of  this claim to the company I feel this is certainly worth the pursuit.  Thank you ***************************

      We have been in contact with the daughter. The daughter made arrangements for us to go today 9/11/23 between the hours of **** with a c/b/4. The last we heard was that BBB had closed this file. In spite of that we have kept in contact with the daughter as we have been trying to resolve this matter. Again, the daughter has been in contact and has told us that she has talked to her mother. Not sure why ****************** is again saying that we have not been trying to provide the refund.
