Prominence Poker is a game developed by Pipeworks Studios. This company charges real money for in game chips on a free to play, no pay out, online video game. Then they take a rake of the pots, or in other words, a small portion of the pot. They are laundering and stealing real money for free online poker. Its illegal in ******** to host poker games and then take a rake. They have taken my hard earned money and rig the game to hand out bad beats to players and cash in on their gambling addiction. I know people whove lost thousands playing this game.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/22/2025

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. Wed like to offer some clarity around how Prominence Poker works and hopefully clear up a few misunderstandings.

First and foremost, Prominence Poker is not a gambling product. Its a free-to-play online poker experience that players can enjoy entirely without spending any money. While we do offer the option to purchase virtual currency, this is a standard practice in the gaming industry, and these chips have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money.

We understand that poker is a game that has its *** and downs. However, bad beats are a normal part of poker, both online and in person. Theyre not evidence of foul play or manipulation. Our game uses a well-known and respected shuffling method called the ***** shuffle method.

Its also important to clarify that, unlike real casinos that take a percentage of actual money from each pot (a rake), Prominence Poker only operates using virtual currency. No real money is ever taken from a pot, and there is no way to cash out winnings. Moreover, free-to-play online poker is legal in the state of *********

We take these concerns seriously and are committed to offering a fair, transparent, and fun experience for all our players. If you or someone you know is spending more than intended in the game, we recommend taking advantage of platform-level tools (like spending limits and parental controls), which are available on Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam. There are also resources out there, such as SAMHSA and GambleAware, that offer advice, tools, and support for anyone who's worried about their gambling behavior.

I am rejecting this response because: it doesnt tell the truth. Look at the reviews online. Hundreds of players reviewed this poorly produced product all stating the same complaint: that the game is rigged. Furthermore, taking a rake of pots when you charge money for chips is not legal. And in closing, Prominence Poker is the only poker game on Xbox that charges money for chips. I want my refund, and youre lucky Im not going to file a class action lawsuit.

    Sincerely,
