    3/21/22 tried to buy a wheelchair. Size needed was on back order. Rented a wheelchair and signed a Rental Agreement for 125.00 per month. Was billed on credit card. Called when the month was nearing an end and inquired as to how continued rental was handled. Was told automatically billed credit card month to month as long as I had the wheelchair. Was billed again 4/22/22. Called and inquired as to whether or not wheelchair was still on back order. It was. Ordered a wheelchair on internet. Called and told employee that I had been forced to order on internet. Was told when it arrived I could return rental chair and would be given a credit on my charge card. Returned chair this morning (not due until 5/21/22) and asked for credit for the unused days. Employee told me that they were switching my agreement to a "daily rental" of 30 dollars a day from 4/22/22 until today 5/9/22 and therefore I owed them 480 dollars. I said I had already paid for the chair through the 5/21/22. She stated that was their policy, and asked the other employee if she was correct and was affirmed. I said I would keep wheelchair until 5/21/22 IF I had to pay a penalty for early return. I went home and reread Rental Agreement which stated nothing about early returns or penalties of rentals were returned early. Called the manager, who spoke with the employees and returned my call and started that I could return wheelchair earlier than 5/21 BUT would receive no credit on my card for doing so. I asked her WHERE the policy was written regarding early returns/penalities, etc and she said it was NOT written for consumers that it was INTERNAL only. I requested that in the interest of handicapped individuals that the policy should be IN WRITING and made transparent at the time of rental. She said she would take it under advisement. COMPLAINT; POLICY IS NOT DISCLOSED VERBALLY OR IN WRITING/EMPLOYEES DO NOT KNOW POLICY. I don't care about getting a credit, but low income people do.
