Ive been a TFCU member for 40 years! My question is how many more ways is TFCU going to implement that makes banking with them any more difficult and aggravating than it already is???? Im slowly getting myself in a situation to where I can move my finances elsewhere. The member has became more of an inconvenience to TFCU than a necessity to to them!!!! This mornings events just solidified my intentions to be banking elsewhere!!

The worst bank I have ever worked with. They have no consideration for human factors and have no problem using extortion style tactics, Like chain charging overdraft fees.

I was offered a loan forgiveness for one monthly payment. Now my automatic draft which has been in effect for the last 5 years has stopped. Tinker blames it on my bank which my bank never did anything. It's all on Tinker. Now after 5 years they no longer have my account and routing number to reset it up. I'd I make a payment by phone it will cost me an additional $4.00 and I work out of town and I'm no where close to a branch. Tinker is literally a rip off. Extremely incompetent. I will never do business with again.

My 19 yr old daughter was denied a personal loan, has over a 700 credit score. Was not asked if she had a co-signer or collateral, nothing. So I tell her to call back and ask about a cosigner. So she did, and I get the call to complete application. I cosign, score is over 750. No late payments. Only 3 things open on my account. No excessive balances. Debt to income ratio good. Anyways. I get a call because info was missing. They get it and say they will call my daughter back with decision. She gets the call it's denied again. Why? How? So I call and I'm told pyramiding debt and excessive unsecured debt. I have one joint loan, Auth user on another, one cc with less than 20% used and one with 0 balance. 100% on time payments. But they are concerned with a joint loan I have because they did not require me to have a secured loan. Anyways I start asking hiw they came to this conclusion and the girl said she going to have to get the person who made the decision. I asked for a call back. Get a call back at 4:57pm and they asked to speak with someone other than my name. I replied that's my middle name and she says well I have middle name, last name here so I apologize. Then asked if I had time to talk, told her I was counting down at work and she said yes me too I leave at 5. Is tomorrow a better time? Um I'm sorry you called me 3 minutes before closing, thanks for the time you were going to allow to address my issues. So I was scheduled for a call back at 1:45p. I ended up having to take an earlier lunch and decided to visit local branch. I actually got some help there but was told it was out of their hands as they did not make the decision and the person who did was backed by their manager, this time they agreed it was because I had 3 hard inquiry in 12 months, their hard hit INCLUDED, so 2. They offered for me to schedule an appointment to see what we can secure but this whole thing put a bad taste in my mouth honestly. Also just got married, hence the joint loan and cc.

Needed bank statements for ******** long term care approval for my mom who has Alzheimers . My brother is a joint account holder, and he is also the power of attorney. Tinker refused to honor the joint account holder status, or the **** citing a minor discrepancy on a date. I got the impression they would never accept the **** We have since used the same *** with the same discrepancy to sell her house, complete with a review by an attorney who states the *** meets all legal requirements. So Tinker purposely took an already stressful and tragic situation and made it worse. On top of that, every nursing home in town has told me they are the worst bank to deal with when it comes to the elderly and these situations.

My mom was the main account holder, I was the second on the account, my mom passed away in 2018 and I got a letter to my CURRENT address saying they were notified that she had passed away and I could come in and remove her name "WHEN I WAS READY", never once said I HAD to remove her name. I found out about a month ago they closed the account, and was told I had to go in person to find out why they closed the account they refused to tell me over the phone. Today I went in to find out why they closed the account. I got nothing but LIE after LIE! They first claimed after 2 years of inactivity it had to be closed, then it was 5 years, they said they sent me several letters and called me several times, LIES Never once did they do either. They claim they sent the letters to the address on the account, which we have not lived there since 2014. They have my current address to send me a letter to say I can take her name off of the account, but not to let me know they are going to close the account. The account had not been used in years before my mom passed away, so she passes away in 2018 and they decide its a "rule" to close it for inactivity. They claim the address was updated in 2015 which is another LIE, we moved to that address in 2000, I don't recall ever updating the address and I know for a fact it was NOT in 2015, my mom was in a bad wreck and in a wheel chair, updating that address was the last thing on either of our minds. Then they claimed it was not them that sent the letters and made the calls, then they denied saying that I was sent several letters and called many times and REFUSED to tell me who supposedly did, he claimed he didn't know. The idiot I talked to last, decided to **** me off more by saying "That was not your account, it was your mothers". My name was on it it WAS MINE as well as hers and me being her only heir, that also made it MINE! He just wanted anger me more, that is NOT professional. They refused to give me the money left on the account.

We bought a product online from an overseas provider which turned out to be an illegal product. We didn't know it, but the product violated federal law. When we found out, we tried to tell the vendor not to send it, but he didn't reply or return email messages. We refused delivery of the product and returned it to sender. We disputed the charge on our debit card, but Tinker refused to refund the money claiming the vendor had a no refund policy; hence, they refused the dispute claiming it was a policy of ***** the card we'd used. In point of fact, the vendor's policy is invalid since you can't contract to do something illegal. Moreover, I spoke with **** and was told they had no such policy, and it was the exclusive domain of the credit union to refund or not; in other words, it was not ****'s policy. Thus, Tinker was disingenuous and treated us with total disdain. We will close our account and never do business with Tinker FCU again.
