I am also cosulting with the better business borough Of Dublin regarding thid. To recapitulate the chronological evants l feel this is what happened. 1.As per our request a technician from your office came and check the connection For Back Flow certification. This was done and billed on 6/26/23.At this time we were out Of country, and we returned on July 5th 2023.A few days after this when I went out in the yard I found water was leaking from the backflow connection at a very noticeable degree. We Immediately called your office of the problem which apparently happened after it was Handled by your technician. WE did have a technician from your office next day[7/13/23] To correct the problem. My need to write this letter is because now we got another bill for correction of The leak of $56.25.This as you can see was clearly what one would Calla neglect by the Tech who came for the back flow check from your company. Can you explain me why should I pay for the 2nd call which was created by the mistake or careless ness of your tech?. I am send a copy of this letter to the Dublin bette business bureau For answer. Mr. ******** called us on 6/19/23 and requested us to complete his annual backflow test. We completed the test on 6/28/2023, which passed, and submitted the results to the municipality once payment was received on 7/06/2023. At the time of the test on 6/28 we noted the inlet pipe was leaking at the union (this is the water pipe that comes out of the house to feed the backflow) – this was leaking prior to our arrival, we did not cause this leak. When a backflow test is performed we only connect our gauge to the test ports and do not touch any other fittings / pipes unless the homeowner would instruct us to do so. When I spoke with Mr. and Mrs. ******** on 7/13/23 regarding the leak I explained to them that this was an existing leak and we would be happy to do the repair, but they would need to pay for us to complete the repair. Mrs. ******** said she understood and wanted us to fix the leak. I then had one of our plumbers come out, that same day, shut the water off to the house, pipe dope the leaking union and turn the water back on to make sure the leak was fixed. We then billed for our time to repair the leak on invoice #***** for a total of $56.25. Please let me know if you need any further clarification, we do feel that we should be compensated for our time to repair a leak in a timely fashion that was existing / not caused by us.
