On Friday October 25th I took my Car in for an oil change and tire rotation having a valpac coupon. This was a scheduled visit. After an hour and 1/2 I was informed of $3500 my vehicle needed in repairs that I could do a little each time. Hmm I definitely questioned this as I purchased car from ******* where it was ordered by 1st and only other owner and I have the car fax of every repair completed and ever 5k oil change completed. Upon driving my car it immediately pulled so hard to the right it was difficult to hold on the road. My mechanic looked at it and then replaced the caliper and hoses and fixed the problem. Next I'm in ****** and my car completely goes limp. Terrain Managment Fault, Brakes, Engine, Throttle all throwing codes. I have it towed to my mechanic. He looks over everything. The oil smells burnt is gritty, dirty, was pristine prior to this. JAMS was in my air filter and sure enough my mechanic found a piece of plastic jammed no pun in my throttle. He then redid the oil change since it also was not filled to 6 quarts to find next the oil filter was put on so tight he had to cut it open. As an experienced certified mechanic of ****************************************************** my mechanic and many others who know me and care and love of my car are disgusted. These scammers are trying to take advantage of people and lie to get business. I am inquiring a lawer to look at oil and plastic and hole in my brake hose after taking my car to Jams. $46 dollars ended up costing me $768.00 also have proof of and dates the other stuff thay stated were bad that Brondes have proof done in ******. I talked to there staff, was told to bring it back to fix it. I was terrified what they would mess up next. Look at my airfilter and brake off plastic. Could have ruined my entire car or had me crash. Nooooo Thank you. God bless my older knowledgeable, honest mechanic.

I have attached the complete Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) with photos and comments from the day Ms. ***** was in. You will see that our courtesy inspection is a visual inspection and the only thing that we put a wrench to is the wheels to remove and rotate them as part of the oil change and included tire rotation service. You will also see that the visual inspection of the brake system shows satisfactory brake pad thickness. Again, we only perform a visual inspection.

After discussing this complaint with our team members, they remember Ms. ***** calling in saying some plastic had been sucked into the air filter. Based on Ms. ******* comments our people assumed a plastic bag, or something similar from the roadway had been sucked into the air filter housing. To assist in determining what may have happened, one of our associates offered to tow her vehicle to our location if she was uncomfortable driving it - Ms. ***** declined the offer and said she would bring it in herself.

As a complete resolution to this complaint, I would be happy to reimburse Ms. ***** for the amount she paid us for her oil change on the date of service in question. Based on the information provided, I don't feel we have any additional responsibility in this matter and will consider it closed.
