    Horrible contractor don’t even know where start built a pole barn on a slab concrete so un level floor is breaking and cupping have soffit just falling out plumbing problems dry wall wall problems screwed painting up used are kitchen counter top as a work bunch scratches everywhere doors that don’t work right and have dings everywhere There so much more damage he and his workers have done so not use James O**** of Jim builders from ********** should be prosecuted as a criminal for the things he has done or not done correctly to are new home

    Listen 2 sides to every story the customer refused to go by the contract I will take responsibility for a few thing but many were correct even products I did not propose

    They didn’t fix anything only made things worse I have pictures and documentation of what they have done and haven’t done very cheap work and craftsmanship

    Our home was purchases in 2021 - it was a new build - a Home Warranty was provided with the purchase - repairs have not been addressed - business owner has been very reluctant to respond, come over to discuss/review the issues, or make any effort to address the repairs Email documentation available showing the specifics of the issues and dates as well as 'replies' from business owner can be forwarded to you [BBB] at your request. We are prepared to take legal action if necessary. As an additional note, the owners across the street had their home built by this same owner and have also had numerous issues needing addressed and have had just as much difficulty in getting them addressed. * CEILING FAN has been an issue since day one and only once has the electrician been over * GROUT and caulking [wrong caulking was used] in the guest bathroom need to be fixed mentioned on 3/2/22 - growing concern that water is and has been going in and behind which may lead to future issues related to water damage * CRACKED PAN in the master bathroom and the cracked grout there * CRACK IN THE SIDING on the deck * SINK HOLE - before it was filled in a void was viewable under the concrete driveway - when the sinkhole was filed in owner indicated that the void under the drive was filled as well [this needs to be investigated] * HIS CLEANING CREW STILL HAD A REMOTE CONTROL FOR THE DOUBLE DOOR GARAGE AND HAD ACTIVATED IT LEAVING THE GARAGE DOOR OPEN WHILE WE WERE LIVING HERE WHILE WE HAD ITEMS STORED IN THE GARAGE * OWNER STILL HAD A KEY FOR OUR HOUSE AND USED IT TO ENTER OUR HOUSE WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION OR KNOWLEDGE WHILE WE WERE LIVING HERE

    I am TEMPORARILY rejecting this response because: 

    I say temporarily reject the company's response because nothing has been done.

    The owner came over on 11:00am on 9/15 to discuss what needs addressed.  I emailed the owner on what was discussed and provided the opportunity to correct any inaccuracies from our conversation.  In the email I also asked for an update as I had not heard anything.  Below are the bullet points to be addressed, see below:

    * agreed to allow our electrician to move the electric outlet from the ceiling in the basement [which is against code] to upstairs and you would pay for that

    * asked about getting a 12' replacement piece of siding for the back deck - if you had one, we said you could just drop it off

    * discussed filling the 'gap' between the concrete sidewalk and the house to prevent potential issues in the future

    * have the corner of the concrete driveway replaced as it has a large crack in it (this was there since the day we toured the house and we listed it in our 'punchout list' before we purchased the home)

     

    I asked for a timeline on getting these items addressed.  The owner replied on 9/20 with, 'Had to order siding '

     

    He did not say how long the piece may take to arrive and did not mention the gap or the driveway.  This is what we have been dealing with the entire time.  I am now going to have to take more time and email the owner AGAIN to ask for an update.

    I accept the business's response to resolve this complaint. 

    I would like to be informed as to when this will happen. This way I can put out the garbage can left by the ‘concrete guy’ in case he needs it still. And i can put out the two pieces of siding that were bought incorrectly.
