    I took my 2019 Honda CRV to the Precision Body and Frame shop to have some rust spots taken care of that were covered under manufacturer's paint warranty, Victory Honda, the dealership in Sandusky told me to take my car to that shop to get the work done so I did. The work was done and it was fine, barely a year later the rust spots came back in the same spots on the rear hatch, I went back to the shop and showed the manager, he pulled up the file and said yea the work was done there and it would be covered under their warranty but they never got paid through the dealership, Honda said they paid the dealership, the dealership is under new owners. Shouldn't Precision still have to honor their work to me their customer and work out their business with Honda. The rusting is getting worse the longer it goes unfixed which will cost me money in resale or trade in value, when they didn't fix it right in the first place.

    Mr. ******* did not come to us as a customer for rust repair.  Victory Honda of Sandusky contracted us to complete a Honda Warranty Repair to a 2019 Honda CR-V in May of 2022.

    Repairs were scheduled and completed in September of 2022, and per the vehicle owner in the Statement of the Problem "it was fine".  

    Farther down in the Statement of the Problem, Mr. ******* states "they didn't fix it right in the first place".

    This complaint was filed 23 months after the repair,  Both Honda and their customer accepted the repair upon completion, making the above statement false.

    The statement from our manager was misunderstood by Mr. *******.  The warranty referred to is the Honda Warranty, and the issue of us being paid is immaterial to this complaint.

    We sympathize with Mr. *******'s predicament and hope he understands his issue is with Honda, and not Precision Body and Frame.

     

    Out of respect for our 40 years in business without a legitimate complaint, we request that the BBB close this issue and remove it from our record.
