Work done July 2022. Work is unacceptable. Stonework cracking within 3 months of work, huge discoloration in stonework, water pooling due to work being unlevel, more huge cracks in stonework have been found, stonework chipping off, paint on bottom of pool chipping off due to stones caught in tread of automatic vacuum(pool bottom was repainted summer of 2021). *** came Sept 2022 to look at discoloration. Blamed supplier, never contacted me again. Contacted *** in March. Was told he'd get with me 3 days later. He did not. I contacted *** again in May and expressed my displeasure with shoddy work. Was told I would be contacted by his manager or the owner. Neither has happened. For the over $12k that was paid, the job isn't worth $20. Absolutely took the money and ran with no customer service provided. I have pictures of the issues as well.

    Consumer’s Duplicate Complaint:
Previous complaint #******** Contact phone of *** ************(******) This company knows exactly who we are. I am not the person who's name the job was under. That should be my mother, ***** * ********. Or, perhaps my sister gave her name which is ******* ******. However, the job is still not right, and I don't appreciate being told this company didn't do the work because they didn't have my name. Stalling tactic. Clearly, I have the copies of the checks totalling $19,413.00.

On August 20, 2022 Garage Kings coated our front porch and we were satisfied with their work. So we called Garage Kings to get an estimate for coating our open patio. On April 3, 2023, *** * came out and gave us an estimate. After we reviewed the estimate, we agreed with the price and signed the estimate. *** * indicated the work should be completed in several weeks depending on the weather.

On April 4, 2023, I sent a text, with pictures, to *** * indicating there was another small area (1'x16') we would like to include. He indicated that he would have the installation crew view the situation to see if was possible to add to our job.

On May 5, 2023 *** * and crew arrived to coat the patio. I asked him about the additional area I talked to *** * about. *** * indicted that is was possible to coat this area. He noted the color he was installing on the patio would not match the abutting area and suggested that he could install a color closer to the adjacent floor. We agreed that another color would look better for this area and we were pleased that he offered this alternative. He took several pictures and indicated that he could come back in the next several weeks as he would be in the area and he could complete it then.

I called *** * on May 12, 2023 and left a message seeking a cost estimate for this additional area. Did not get a response.

On May 16, 2023 I called and left a message with *** * to see if he had any information. Did not get a response.

On May 30, 2023 we went to the Garage Kings office in New Carlisle and talked with *** *. We explained the situation and she took down our information and indicated someone would contact us.

Mr. ****** had his garage floor coated by another company other than Garage Kings. He asked us to coat the lip that was not coated at the time they did his garage floor. We provided Mr. ****** with a price to coat the lip and match the flake as closely as possible to the existing garage floor. Mr. ****** told us the price was too high and he did not want to do it. If Mr. ****** would like to accept our quote for his garage lip to be coated, we will be happy to come out and perform the work.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

*** * indicated that the additional work could be performed.  We originally were going to have him apply the same color as the patio.  He is the one that recommended using another color.  He indicated that he would be able to complete this additional coating in several weeks. We followed his suggestion.  Had we known that this was a problem, we would have stayed with the original color and had it completed when the patio was done.  We regarded this as a continuation of the original job - not a whole new project.  Again, we are merely following the company's representative suggestion and now we are be penalized - $2,000 for 16 sq. ft. - is way out of line.  Had he completed the original color this cost would have been much less.  Just asking the company to abide by the representatives offer and complete the 16 sq. ft. at a resonable price.  If a company makes an offer you should be able to take them at their word.

    Sincerely,
