    I moved into my house in May of 2023. I got my roof replaced immediately upon move in because the home inspection said it was needing to be replaced. The date it was replaced was 5/30/2023. I was cleaning out my closet in December 2024 and noticed a lot of water damage. I have been trying to get ahold of the roofers to both fix the roof and pay for the damages to my upstairs closet for over a month now. I was gracious with the holidays that I called before the holidays, let holiday week happen, then have been calling them almost daily since the holidays ended. Now we are 3 weeks into January and there have been two large snowfalls so this is just eating away my ceiling now.

    Hello BBB,

    I could've sworn I responded. I ended up getting another company to come out and take a look. There has been persistent water leaking into my ceiling, with no real change when Smart Choice roofers came out and told me they had fixed the issue. The company that I'm working with now said there is a bunch of sealant on the roof but in the wrong spot and the problem (the chimney flashing) was not resolved (as evidenced as well by the continued moisture in the upstairs closet. I will not be working with Smart Choice Roofing again.
