On 10/24/22, my wife, ******* ****** wrote a $2,390.97 check to Long's Finishing to replace wood trim on our house, back fill and paint the replaced wood trim and fill in the nail holes. ******* **** is proprietor of this business. The trim was replaced. However, the remaining tasks were not completed.
In 2023, ******* reached out to Mr. **** multiple times by text and phone. He did not return to finish the job. In 2024, I called Mr. **** on March 19th, June 11th, June 17th and July 9th. The March 19th call consisted of Mr. **** advising that it was too cold to do the painting and it would be taken care of once the weather permitted. The June 11th and July 9th phone calls were not answered. I left voicemails, which were not returned. When I spoke with Mr. **** on the June 17th call, he indicated he would have his painter come out that week to complete the work. He also advised that he would send a text when the painter was on his way. After the call, there was not any contact from Mr. **** and the painter never arrived to complete the work.
At this point, we want the work completed within seven days or a refund of the payment to Mr. ****, less the cost of the wood trim.
