I paid a 50% deposit on 4/4/2022 to complete a walk-out basement to TPC Inc, owned and represented by Dwight A*****. Mr. A***** advised me that the work would be completed by the end of April 2022. After numerous attempts to contact Mr. A*****, I received communication on 6/16/2022 that the work would be completed the following week. After no communication the following week and many more attempts to contact Mr. A***** through calls and texts, I received a text message on 7/28/22 that the work would be completed from 8/8 - 8/9. After nobody showed up to perform any work, I contacted Mr. A***** on 8/9 and asked for a refund. On 8/10, Mr. A***** said he would refund my deposit. After another month of trying to contact Mr. A*****, I was told on 9/12 that I would receive the refund by the following Friday. After several more attempts to contact Mr. A*****, he responded on 10/3/22 with a promise to pay. Mr. A***** then emailed me on 10/7 asking to arrange refund payments. I responded to the email on 10/7 asking for clarity and dates for which payments would be made. There has again been no communication from Dwight A***** or any representative of T.P.C. Inc. There has been no work started or completed and this company has yet to refund my money.

We have worked out a repayment process and client will be full reimbursed for any funds they have paid.

I am rejecting this response because:

There has been no payments made as agreed. I have attempted email, voice-mail, and text and have not recieve any communication from TPC.

We contracted Dwight A, of TPC, Inc, in January of this year to complete a significant home remodeling project. He said that he could complete the project by end-of-March/beginning-of-April. Overall, we were initially pleased by the workmanship and progress. However, by the end of February, we started seeing big delays in work - heading into March, weeks would go by without anyone working on our project nor would we receive information from TPC. After several broken promises and apologies, TPC averaged less than 10 hours/month until July. The little work that was done on our project wasn't done correctly and, since we had such difficulty communicating with Dwight, we had to hire other companies to fix the improper work done by TPC's employees/contractors. Inevitably, since TPC was not finishing the job, we demanded that Dwight repay us the monies that, in good faith, we provided. Dwight readily and repeatedly agreed that TPC had performed poorly and also agreed to pay us the $14,000 for services that his company failed to render. We allowed him a payment plan that he has now failed to follow. Dwight and/or TPC still owes us $8,400. Emails and texts can be provided to verify the terms and conditions of this repayment plan and his inability to honor it...

We had agreed to 4700 per month to resolve the repayment process.  I asked our accountant to send payments of $1000 per week because it was easier to manage that.  Our accountant was supposed to include a proposal with this information and did not.  I completely understand the shock of receiving a check for the lesser amount with no explanation.  We were also behind on our payment date at that time as well.  I guarantee complete repayment of what is due.  We have been struggling with loss of crews because of covid and have gotten behind with our clients.  We are working ourselves to remedy this and get caught up as well as make good on our commitments to our customers. Thank you.

TPC repaid all money that has been owed.  It is important to note that, though the contracted work was not completed and this resolution process took much longer than we would have liked, the business never argued and always took full responsibility.  It is refreshing to know that some businesses still hold themselves accountable and genuinely try to do what is right.

This matter of repayment is now resolved.
