I hired Martez at Aspect Abatement to resolve a popcorn ceiling in my living room and skim coat an entryway for me. Upon leaving the site, Martez and his crew did not finish the living room (It needed patching all along the crown moulding), tracked green paint all over my newly refinished floors (done in February), left a half an inch gap of exposed wall around all of the trim in the entryway, painted over a light fixture, painted on wet drywall, and made a mess of the light switch plate thay they did not take off vefore skim coating. I had to go in and repatch every inch of the room and demanded a refund. He claimed that a really bad patch that he had a subcontractor put in the ceiling was the same amount as the cost of the entryway and so he paid that instead of refunding me my entryway. I dont think he should have paid them for the bad work st all. He had said he was surprised thwy hadnt come back thwmselves to fix it. The patch is still in a bad state. He had texted me that he would refund the entryway, and then went back on his word. His crew left my house a complete mess, leaving nails in the crown moulding, tape stuck into the walls that I had to dig out, paint on my doors and front steps, and I have had to hire someone else to come in and fix the work. I would like a refund in the amount of $324.00 for the entryway at the very least. I had paid for all the paint myself and they took the remainder with them, and the walls were too wet for paint at the time anyway. I have a video of the entryway upon when they left that shows all of these details better than the few pictures I have attached here.
