1 starMy fiance was seen at the Kettering Health clinic in Miamisburg today. While her appointment with her scheduled provider was fine, there is another issue that is not. While waiting to check out, my fiance was approached by a provider she apparently knows. He asked a few personal questions in front of other patients, sarcastically insulted her, and walked off. Upon calling the office manager, I was abruptly blown off ("well I'll let the providers know"), interrupted, and was shocked at the refusal to even pretend to care about what had happened. Not to mention the sarcastic muttering from the office manager when I let her know interrupting someone on the phone continually is not okay. I'm not sure what kind of practice is being run here, but it's certainly not what I would expect from Kettering Health. I'm very disappointed.Review fromSophia C

1 starI'm paying on my Kettering bill monthly. The billing department will not let me do a payment plan that I can afford. I told them multiple times that this is the amount I can afford - "take it or leave it". On the bills they send me every month is the following statements: "Your balance is currently past due. Please submit payment of ___ upon receipt to avoid collections or call to make payment arrangements." What a joke. The billing staff is rude, won't let you talk to a supervisor nor do they call you back. Also, they have no compassion for those people on fixed incomes. On February 11, 2023I received a collection letter from a collection agency. For the amount I owe, less than $200.00, KHN is wasting their effort to collect thru the collection agency. I will continue sending my money to Kettering. On a positive note, I have 2 wonderful Kettering Doctors. Outside of those yearly visits, anything I need done medically, I'll do thru Miami Valley Hospital. Their billing department is very accommodating and will work with you. Their billing staff follows thru when you call and have questions.Review fromScott C

First it’s a shame you have to leave a star just to make a review, they don’t deserve a single star. If you need real medical help, well good luck. My girlfriend passed out at home, I drove her cause we live less than a mile from bettering hospital, walk in and there are 3 people in there, she started to go in and out of consciousness, when I said something to the staff I was completely ignored by a idiot named Andrew, then once they decided to check her in they insisted that she answered questions even when she was totally out of it ( these are obviously useless idiots. Finally when put in a room her blood pressure drops and I say something to a nurse and was told a doctor would be in soon ( apparently soon is hours later) . If you’re sick go somewhere else if you actually want any kind of service. I personally will never use Kettering ever again and they should be closed down.Kettering Health

1 starTotal neglect of care for my mother that was brought in to Kettering Health main campus with SVT. She was given Adenosine four times and didn’t convert rhythm until after given Cardizem. After she converted to sinus rhythm, Dr. M***** was ready to discharge her to home despite the fact that she is 80 years old, lives alone, was new onset SVT, no prior cardiac history, no complete cardiac work up done to determine cause, EKG showing left ventricular hypertrophy, was totally asymptomatic with SVT in 160’s and only knew she was in it from going to her scheduled 6 month checkup with her doctor. After I pointed out those concerns, she was kept as an observation patient and subsequently went back into SVT four times and ended up on a Cardizem drip and admitted to hospital. Within this entire time there was an echocardiogram that was ordered which was never completed despite asking the ER hold nurses and floor nurses multiple times and each time being told that the Echo Tech was on their way. Dr. Shah had informed us that she would be discharged early the next morning and I knew the Echocardiogram would need to be completed and read for the discharge to happen. After another no show from the Schuster Echo Tech, I went to the radiology to try to determine why the echo was not getting completed. When the radiology front desk called Schuster they said it wouldn’t be done until the next day which was the planned discharge day. The nurse then reported that she just received a call from Echo and they said they had an emergency echo to do in cath lab which doesn’t excuse why it still had not been done in the past 24+ hours prior to that emergency. So essentially my mother was totally ignored, overlooked, devalued and it just continued with this lack of care. It has been a truly exhausting and overwhelming experience to an 80 year old patient sensitive to stress and anxiety pro-founded by the many heartless staff members at Kettering’s main campus.Review fromStanley M

1 starSpringfield Kettering health on middle urbana rd. is where I see my family dr. whom I like. However I had a bad experience with whoever is in charge of notifying pts. when your office cancels my appt. I checked mychart as to the time and date of my appointment I had made for my yearly physical which was Oct. 17th at 10:15 am. I arrive at the office and was told an attempt was made back in August to let me know my dr. no longer worked on Mondays and they needed to cancel, however my messages was full on my phone. So 2 months go by and I check mychart and confirm my appointment the week before and no one bothers to update mychart or make a 2nd attempt to call me, or email me, or send a letter or even send a message on mychart which has a message area. Maybe reception feels they shouldn't have to go the extra step to ensure a patient doesn't waste their time when you are the ones to cancel. Common courtesy would have been to ensure a pt. was notified even though their phone messages was full, there are many other modes of communication these days, a simple text to my phone which they had called would have sufficed but I guess they didn't care about me wasting my day off to come to an appt. which you had cancelled. very disappointing.Review fromSCOTT P

1 starWent into the ER tonight for a swelled up cyst on my neck. It has a lot of pressure and is keeping me from sleeping and causing lots of pain. The attending doctor did nothing for me to achieve any kind of relief. Just wanted to give me antibiotics which I was already taking. I feel like she didn't care one way or another whether I got any relief or not and just didn't want to deal with the issue. I won't come back here. I'll go out of my way to go to another hospital. This was my first and only time coming here.Review fromGlenna B.

1 starThis is for the billing department, not the medical staff. My family doctor ordered a CT scan of my lungs and I received a call the next day from the scheduling department, I was advised that I would receive a call if there was an issue with my insurance. Never received a call or email or MyChart notice regarding the appointment, except for the appointment reminder. I get an invoice for over 1700 dollars and when I called to ask if the insurance was billed, I was told “no, Kettering Hopsital isn’t in your network”. Which is funny, because my husband was seen in the same location less than a year ago and insurance covered the visit. The billing practices are unbelievable, and dirty… bullies of the medical industry.Review fromLance C

5 starsI was admitted to the Main Campus on the 3500 wing for 10 days, and found the most kindest, knowledgeable, and caring staff any patient could hope for! I truly cannot say enough positive things about the employee's. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! Billy
