Rental manager (***) assured me the driver would ask me where I wanted the excavator placed at prior to unloading it as I wanted it parked across the street. I, along with my g/f was home all day and our front door was open. I went outside around 3:05 pm and I saw the 19k pound excavator sitting in my driveway directly behind my SUV. Per my neighbor who was in her front yard, the driver backed their 26k lb flat bed truck onto my concrete driveway and unloaded it. I contacted the rental manager at 3:15 advising him of the damage and that I wanted the excavator moved off my driveway immediately. He advised someone from management would be over promptly to move it and to take pictures of the damage. At approximately 5:20 the driver showed up and he called me on my cell phone immediately upon exiting his truck. I asked him why he didn't come and get me prior to unloading the excavator and he said he rang my doorbell but it doesn't work. I walked him up to my door and rang my doorbell at which time you could clearly hear it along with my dog barking. He took pictures of my driveway. I spoke to the rental manager Tom again on the following Monday at which time he advised it's hard to determine the new cracks from existing cracks. I requested he send a manager out as the new cracks are easily visible. A manager named ***** came out and advised he couldn't determine the new cracks from the older cracks. I had a concrete contractor look at my driveway and he clearly identified the new cracks. I advised ***** of this along with his estimate of $5,000.00. 4-5 days later the contractor emailed me his estimate. I reached out to my insurance company for assistance. I provided her with pictures of my driveway. Approximately 10 minutes later she emailed me advising they have Ariel photographs of my driveway from August 1st, and that the cracks in my pictures are clearly new. I have attempted to contact ***** since then, but he has refused to take my calls or return any of them.

The customer rented a ********************** Model E88 from our **************** location to be delivered to his personal residence. A third-party towing company delivered the machine to the customer. The driver reported that he attempted to contact the customer but received no response, and no one answered the door at the residence. The customer also informed our location and rental managers that he was not home at the time of delivery. He indicated that he learned about the equipment's delivery from a call with his neighbor. Given the lack of direct communication, the towing company placed the equipment where it deemed most appropriate.

When the customer reached out to our store regarding cracks in his driveway, our location manager promptly visited the customer's home, discussed the situation, and took photographs of the driveway. Upon inspection,it was clear that the driveway was old and in poor condition, with weeds growing between the concrete pads and cracks that appeared to have existed for some time. Our location manager and the customer disagreed on the duration of the driveway's poor condition.
The customer mentioned a phone conversation with a relative who owns a concrete business, claiming the repair would cost around $3,000.However, he could not provide the name of this relative or any contact information. Our location manager offered to assist the customer with a discount on the rental as a courtesy, but reiterated that our store would not take responsibility for the driveway's condition.

Approximately two weeks later, the customer contacted our location manager stating that he now had a repair estimate ranging from $5,000 to $6,000. Again, he was unable to provide the name of the estimator or any contact details for verification. Our location manager has repeatedly requested copies of the estimates to review the findings, but the customer has not provided any documentation.

We contend that we are not at fault in this situation. We have made every effort to work with the customer and address his concerns.  We value our customers and are committed to providing them with a positive experience with our company. We also make a point to resolve issues as quickly as possible.  Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:
Leppo Rents response is false. I was at home all day. At around 2:50 I received a text from Leppo that the excavator would be delivered btwn 3:30-4:30 pm. I walked outside around 3:10 and viewed the excavator parked behind my SUV around 3:10. I immediately called Leppo advising them of this and that not only does the excavator have me blocked in, but it is partially parked on my driveway. Tom advised he would have someone come move it right away. I called 3 more times and advised Tom there is damage to my driveway. The driver finally returned at 5:20 pm to move the excavator. My neighbor advised me she saw the driver back the flatbed truck with the excavator onto my driveway.

In an effort to resolve this situation (despite mutual disagreement over fault), Leppo management reached out to the customer and they worked out a "settlement" regarding the matter.  This complaint should be resolved now.
