One of the best scammers and manipulators in the area. He was hired for repairs, vinyl plank installation, painting, and a few other projects. He says he is skilled in remodeling, design and additions and I fell for it. He did a fairly good job installing new under cabinet lighting, but all the intricate work was done when the home was built. He works 1-2 hours if and when he shows up and has incredible excuses for texting as to why he can’t come as promised. My flooring will be fixed by a knowledgeable person. His painting skills are marginal and he purchased 2 gallons of paint for 2 coats but decided 1 coat was enough. One coat was not enough and there was no discussion that I was paying for 2 coats. He has a plethora of family issues which I think he is the cause and he uses them to not show up to work. He must have an Incredible number of family members that need medical attention, surgery and his support several times a week. His truck was in the shop for greater than 3 weeks which of course allowed him not to show up. I am out a good amount of money and fortunately I stopped the remainder of work to stop the money bleeding. I am sure the money I paid him enabled him to make a truck payment, a car payment, house payment, Christmas gifts and groceries for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I used him under the name of CustomMark building and I feel he probably changes his company name as needed. I would not be surprised if he was in the south taking money from those affected by tornadoes and hurricanes and taking money without doing the promised work. He talks a good story but lacks a multitude of skills. I wish you could see how he replaced the floor molding after he finished the plank floors. The corners do not meet and all the nails he used were not spackled and touched up with white paint. He said he would come back to repair a crack in the wall again and after reminders, I was not surprised when he said he spent a day in the hospital. Karma Mark

We hired Bella Remodeling/Custom Mark Building and Design/Bathrooms by **** *********. He uses various names. He was to remodel a bathroom and laundry room for us in March of 2023. We signed a contract of 10 payments of $3700 each. After coming up with a design plan and what we would buy and what his responsibility was, we agreed on a start date in early April. On the week he was to begin work Mark called and asked if he could push it off for another week to which we agreed. He already had a down payment of $3700. When the following Monday came around, he called off on the first day claiming a sick family member needed his attention. He then requested another $3700 to start work on Tuesday. We cut him another check, so he had $7400 of ours on his first day. He worked for about 2-3 hours on Tuesday and 2 hours on Wednesday. At this point I could see that his work was shoddy, and that he did not know how to do plumbing, on Thursday he called off work again. As Friday arrived, we found out about the BBB complaints against Mark. He worked for about 3 hours on Friday then made an excuse that he had to get an oil change on his truck and told us the rough plumbing would be finished on Saturday, and we owed him another $3700. At this point he would have about $11,100 for about 7 hours of work. The work he did was completely unusable, so I told him not to come back and we wanted our money back to which he refused. I than consulted with a licensed plumber to evaluate the work that **** did, to which they said it would all have to be torn out and start from scratch. Unfortunately, we did not do enough research and subsequently found out that he is a scam artist and has several judgements against him, for the exact same thing. We lost $7400 and hope that others do not become one of his victims.
