    Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a complaint against Whitners Moving ** regarding damages caused to my property during a recent move. On11/8/2024 , Whitners Moving ** was hired to assist with relocating my families household items. During the move, their team broke our septic system meter, causing significant damage that required costly repairs.I immediately notified Whitners Moving ** about the damage and provided supporting evidence, including photos and repair estimates. Despite my efforts to resolve this matter amicably, the company has refused to take responsibility or reimburse me for the damages as is stated in the contract. This has left me with unexpected and unfair repair costs for an issue caused directly by their movers negligence of driving off our driveway into the septic system ******* a paying customer, I expected professionalism and accountability from Whitners Moving **, neither of which has been demonstrated in this situation. Their refusal to address the problem is both unethical and unacceptable.I am requesting that Whitners Moving ** reimburse me for the full cost of repairing the septic system meter, which amounts to ********.I hope the BBB can assist in resolving this matter and ensuring Whitners Moving ** upholds its responsibility to its customers.Thank you for your attention to this complaint.Sincerely,***** *****

    Business stated that he and his wife had both talked to the consumer and offered to come to the property to look at the issue.  The business stated they asked for a detailed bill and no one ever got back to them.  The consumer said it was not a real problem and he wasn't worried about it.  He then called back the next day and said there was a lot of damage and that they needed to fix it.  The business stands by if they break it, they will fix it but the crew said they did not do any damage to the property.

    I am rejecting this response because: the response is not a true statement.  We had pictures and proof with the tire tracks that showed the truck had damaged the system.  He ignored our requests and refused to pay for a bill that was caused by his company.  He is all talk but does not stand behind his word.  We had significant expense because of their careless actions and dishonesty.  Why would we take the time to report them if they were true to their word and paid.

    The pictures were send and remain in this file discussion.  The damage was from the movers backing into our septic system damaging it.  WE have already had it repaired at our expense in order to have a functioning system.  A picture of The letter of our expense is still posted as well.
