on 1/31 I called this plumber for a low water pressure problem. Plumber came same day and diagnosed issue as a water heater problem, recommended replacing water heater. We were unsure about water heater being problem, since cold water was affected just as well and there were no leaks. Asked about whether this could have been a problem with the city's water line. Tech reassured us that it's the heater, and got us to sign and pay a deposit.

Of course, the very next day we notice a giant pool of water out on the street, with a city sign notifying us that work is scheduled to fix the issue. Realize that we've been tricked into signing an agreement based on shoddy diagnosis.

OK, sounds like something to straighten out with the business. Called on Monday, 2/3 to cancel order. First call center worker told me that order will be cancelled, but that billing would contact me about the deposit. After waiting a few hours billing does not call back, so I call again. Get disconnected, get told manager is unavailable, get told that their script does not allow them to contact manager, each new call center rep has a new excuse. Still no contact from the business a week later.

We hired Ben Franklin Plumbing to install two new water heaters in November of 2020. On November 14, 2022, the plumber came out as we were not getting any hot water from one of the new tanks. The technician advised me that when they were originally installed, an "old part" was put on both tanks and the one part gave out on the one tank. He replaced that part.
I requested that the other tank's old part be replaced as well since they originally put a faulty part on our new tank. The office advised that they couldn't do that unless the part fails. The tanks are only under warranty for 6 years. I asked what if the part fails after the 6 years. Not covered. Since we know now that the part is the wrong one, I requested the business to come out and replace it pre-emptively. I have asked twice for the owner to call me to no avail. I am requesting that Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Grove City replace the incorrect part on my newer water heater.
