      I found the business online. I hired them in April to remove an existing deck and build a deck in the back of my house. I was told I would not need a permit as I had an existing deck.

      I noticed they were trying to use the old wood to build the new deck, but we stopped them. his crew, a lot of them, did not speak English, so it was hard for me to communicate with them. After the deck was started my grand-daughter's husband came out and talked to them, and they made some corrections.  

      At one point they tore up my flashing. They put decorative wood on top of my deck to keep water from going into my house. I told them I did not like it and did not think it would stop water.

      I have a railing going down the deck that has only one nail in it. I am supposed to have screws not nails, and certainly more than one. The railing is unsafe, the steps are crooked. 

      I have made multiple attempts to have them to return to repair the work. A representative came out in July, and took pictures of everything and agreed some things needed to be corrected, but I have not heard from anyone since then. I called back to the office, and spoke to a woman who said she heard Eric discussing the deck and they were trying to figure out what to do.

      The information is incorrect.  We built the deck to code.  We never use screws in treated lumber only nails, which are code.  We went out 3 times to do their "repairs".  We went above and beyond what our contract stated.  They held our check beyond our contract timeline.  They were satisfied when they paid us in full.  If they were not satisfied they would not have paid the contracted price. We take pride in our work and our crew.  There was always an English speaking person on the jobsite.  You can't please all clients.  The actual client would not speak to the owners of HDL when onsite, they would ONLY send their grand daughter out to speak to us.  As you see we have ZERO complaints and are an upstanding business and very involved in our community.  We unfortunately, ran into a client that does not understand the wood is not perfect and they are impossible to make happy.

      I am rejecting this response because: We paid the bill because it was the right thing  to do. We kept our side of the bargain, but they haven't kept theirs. I talked to a woman who works for them, she is nice, her number is ###-###-####, a week and a half ago and she said someone would be out within the next week, but they didn't come.

      They never came out three times. Our daughter has talked to them adn texted them as we were feeling so bad. 

      We would like them to come out and make the necessary repairs. Thank you.
