Mr. ***** did bring his Cadillac to Brownies it! shops in Dec
of 2020.  He FINALLY authorized transmission
repairs in FEBRUARY of 2021 and said he would need a few months to pay for the
work.  We did not enforce storage fees of
$18.00 per day as Ohio BMV authorizes ($22,995.00!), but we tried to be patient
    with him.

Mr. ***** took 3-1/2 years to pay for the repairs.  Brownies did not charge any additional
storage to Mr. ***** even though this time frame certainly stressed our system as
a business.  ALL of the originally
ordered parts had to be RETURNED or used in order to maintain the warranty.  Our repairs come with a 1 year warranty that is dependent on parts
    being warranted through our suppliers.
Once the vehicle was paid for Brownies had to re-order and re-locate all
of the parts needed for repairs.  While
we certainly did not rush to complete repairs after being exceedingly patient
with the customer, we are working diligently to return the vehicle to the customer
in the coming weeks due to some missing nuts and bolts.
This will be the last time we keep a vehicle this long
without storage charges or applying for the title thru a mechanics lean per Ohio
    BMV authorization.  After being
exceedingly patient with Mr. ***** he writes us a bad review?
    Respectfully Submitted,

I am rejecting this response because:

I gave them ample time to fix my car I understand that it’s there for that length of time but to my understanding that they wasn’t gone order no parts until I paid most of the money I also advise them that I could only pay what I could pay being this was in the Covid era so money was no at my disposal but I paid and they kept accepting payments now when I paid it off I was told it will only take a few weeks after I paid off the money owed now I wasn’t dealing with the same person I started off wit but I paid it off in may  of 2024 and it still ain’t done it ain’t my fault that they misplaced or lost any of the parts to my knowledge they had ordered the wrong parts and had to order the right ones but they never called to update me on my car the only time I got a call referring to my car is when I made this complaint but it wasn’t to talk about my car or nothing but to ask me to get this complaint token down I just want my car fixed as I paid the contract in full .

    Sincerely,

This car was dumped on us for almost 4 years with the customer knowing he was to pay within days of his approval.  We never finish a cars work until we get paid in full because we have been stuck with vehicles customers abandon on us frequently. We are rounding up all the parts and buying a lot of small parts that went missing over the past 4 years.  The car should be completed next week without any further cost to the customer.  This is the last vehicle that will be dumped on us!

I have had my vehicle with this company for multiple weeks. The manager never calls to inform me of this status of my vehicle. I have paid just over $5000 and close to $1000 in rental cars. I work 40 miles away. I am a professional who can not simply work from home. I can no longer adore the rental cars. The manager seems to not care whatsoever about getting me the car back. The car has had to go back once due to bad parts. Then they replaced again and on test drive it was bad there also. The day I decided to take it to them the manager made it seem like he had to know right then if I wanted them to fix it. This has been my worst experience dealing with a shop and I should have faked it to the dealer. At least inwould have been given a rental. This company has a lack of communication issue. I emailed the one email account on the website. No response. Over a week. This has to be a bogus email account that is never checked. I need my vehicle back working or a rental paid by the company who keeps installing the parts that don’t work. With the holidays approaching I can not afford this company keeping my car any longer. I would like my 5000$ back and the broken transmission they still have not fixed. The BBB should not allow their logo attached to this company. I will show u my Verizon bill proving this business never called me. This is the worst. And the manager acts like he’s annoyed he has to do business. Maybe they would move their butts if they had to pay for my rental. I’m broke because of this mess.

    Dear BBB:
In response to *** ******’ vehicle we have spoken weekly and
he was advised we will contact him when his vehicle is ready to pick up.
We use OEM electronic parts and would like to say his situation is unique but
unfortunately post covid and with worker shortages and automotive suppliers strikes,
parts are arriving at a much slower rate than in previous times.  We did a complimentary cleaning of corrosion
from many connections and battery terminals and we did re-start his warranty
period to begin the day he picks up his vehicle as a customer courtesy.  *** ****** was advised this morning his
vehicle is ready for pick up 14 days after being dropped off for warranty work
which we take seriously and stand behind our work.
Also, in response to his claim of the bogus email account,
that account is checked at least 10 times daily because we take our customer
comments, questions and concerns seriously.   We conducted a search for the emails from Mr.
Skean and found no email from him to date.

    We wish *** ****** well.
    Respectfully,

    Dear BBB:

Mr. ******** received his vehicle back before Christmas in good working condition.
The reason other transmission shops no longer work on these vehicles is that the
transmission will fail due to many other factors on the car. The K&M air intake
that Mr. ******** removed is one such part. This affects when and how the
transmission shifts – it will make the transmission shudder when it shifts and was
the reason that his transmission failed the last time – but we still warrantied it for
our “Customers Satisfaction”. You cannot put on aftermarket parts without
effecting OEM performance. The Dealer would cancel their warranty on the
entire car if they found this aftermarket air intake installed on this car. The
engine operation and most importantly driver habits, also dramatically affect the
life of the transmission. Brownies it! Shops rebuilds these transmissions as strong
and tough as the available parts allow for and most importantly stand behind our
warranty without fail. We will continue to work on these vehicles as long as the
economics make sense and as always with our industry will continue to seek out
updates and improvements on durability. Brownies it! Shops does not design
transmissions, nor do we break them. We only fix them and offer a great
    warranty for our work.

    We wish Mr. ******** well.

    Sincerely,

******* ******** I put the factory air box back on but the transmission still messed up not because of my driving but because you as a owner fail to operate the shop properly also the mechanics left all kinds of stuff unplugged  I’m not the only person that is dissatisfied with the work that your shop does I will not ever recommend this shop to anyone also please never forget that the costumer is always right
