    I requested a quote for some home renovation and never received it. I called repeatedly about the quote and never got a call back. They did some decent work on my home after it was hit by a car and repaired part of a door frame. Very disappointed that I couldn’t get the quote I requested after being a good customer.

    Referred by homeowner insurance company to provide bid, inspection and ultimately hire to complete repairs of water damage due to plumbing issues imbedded in slab foundation going into hearth fireplace insert running outside to the bib of the outside wall spigot.
    Received information on estimate of subcontractor’s bids Maiden wasn’t really doing any of the work directly managing subcontractors only.
    When we got a request from them to sign a Master Authorization form to begin working they also required a 50% down payment. After hearing what happened to the victims of the Ohio tornado where restoration companies asked for large down payments I asked them for a reduction in the amount of down payment. They refused without any negotiation and walked away from the job. Neither did they provide a request from me in writing to confirm their insurance company policy would in fact cover their subcontractors.
    Very disappointing we waited a long period to obtain the quote for the work and then when we got down to the end of details they were unwilling to communicate or become flexible on payment terms. We were hoping to do business with them.

    In response to Ms. K*******, who was handling this claim for her mother, we have been in business for almost 70 years. We inspected the job, provided a detailed estimate and supplied carpet samples for her mother. Unfortunately she had had problems in the past with other contractors and she did not approve of our long standing terms of initial payment to begin repairs. We temporarily covered an opening in the family room, at no charge, and worked with her adjuster to come to an agreed price. Yes subcontractors are used, carpet, plumbing and masonry, however we were doing all drywall, insulation and painting. We have an A+ rating with the BBB and strive to work with homeowners and insurance companies to provide excellent service and communication.
