    Walked to the bar for a drink. Though the bar was not packed, I waited more than five minutes for service. The bartender closest to me looked me over and served a white male that had just walked up to the bar. I stated that I had been standing and waiting for a drink for a while to which the bartender replies, “the bar is sectioned off.” She was not as busy as the other bartenders my duration at the bar. Now, if she had motioned for me to step closer to her area that would have been better customer. However, she came across vindictive and racist honestly. I voiced my displeasure, she then proceeded to tell the bartender next to her not to serve me. The other bartender exclaims out loud that “We back our bartenders here” out loud, almost as if she was proud of defending what could either be viewed as inconsiderate customer service or blatant racism. She seemed to be the head bartender. I asked to speak to the manager, to which I was not given a name. I went to speak to security who pointed me to the direction of a male bartender. Before I went to speak to him, one of the security members mentioned that “they’re known for being racist so be careful.” With this in mind, I called the male bartender over and voiced my displeasure. He gave the same excuse without recourse.
    Hopefully this encourages more people of color to avoid this bar. Inattentive / rude bartenders, deflective “management” that would not hold their staff accountable. I would not patronize this establishment again.
