We had the vendor 1 Tom Plumber of Columbus, **** come out and do a re-pipe of our drains for our entire home, and to reset 2 flanges, 1 for each of our restrooms. They began the work the last week of May 2024. After numerous complaints to the company and the company claiming the work did not need a permit, we had out city inspection come in and review the work. At that time Whitehall City inspector determined a permit was required. 1 *** filed for the permit. Came back and reviewed the work completed and determined it was up to code and ready for inspection. July 22, 2024 The Franklin County inspector cameout to review the work that had been done over the past 2 months. The work completed by 1 Tom Plumber failed inspection. The reason for the failure included a ****** installed incorrectly, a vent being out of code, the slope being incorrect, a trap being out of code and a gaping hole in the existing cast iron that 1 Tom Plumber caused while tying on.

We worked with the city of ********* and ********************** department and we passed the inspection.

[If you do not say why you are rejecting the company's response, BBB must close your complaint.]

    Complaint: 22028585

I am rejecting this response because:
Our ideal resolution is as follows:
-a refund of the $3000 paid to 1 Tom Plumber
-all work completed by 1 Tom Plumber warrantied for a year

We ask for this due to the fact they denied any wrong doing until we involved The City of *********. 1 Tom Plumber let their work fail inspection, attempted to take advantage our our lack of knowledge and the fact that they did illegal work that they knew was inadequate. Finally, this entire ordeal began back in May. For this to be a licensed corporation our expectations were not met.
