    August 3th, 2023 I scheduled to have an apartment cleaning at 12pm. Originally I wanted to schedule on 8/4/2023, but the business owner said she was going out of town that day and can come tomorrow. I work Thursday and I wanted Friday because I was off, but the owner reassured me that she can come to do the service while I was at work and I told her the door will be open. I am living there by myself so no one would see her if she came to my apartment. It was a 25$ deposit and $160 altogether. When it was the day of the appointment, the owner said they did not arrive on time at 12pm, they arrived around 15 mins after 3pm. I was at work, so calling me if they needed anything was difficult. I called her at work and she said was on the way and made me pay 135$ because I was not at home when she arrived at my apartment. I called again asking her if she arrived at my apartment and she told me she could not get in the door is locked. I asked if she was at the right address and she said yes, but I know the door was not locked because I cannot lock it. The lock is broken due to a former roommate 2 weeks ago. I cannot even lock my door and the security chain is unlocked. The owner could easily come inside like I said. However, the owner did not even stay for 30mins even to try and open the door. She left my apartment doing no service at all. I could not reschedule or schedule the day that I wanted and want a refund of $160. On the business website, it is a square appointments website and it does not mention any refund policy or Fees. The owner only returned $135 and claimed shes charging me a $40 late fee because she claims my door is locked. No where on the business website or talking with the owner prior to scheduling did they mention a late fee. I want my 40 dollars back as well because my apartment door was unlocked, she agreed to come to my apartment without me present, and no where prior to scheduling did the owner mention a late fee.
