I’m stuck in the internet service contract with Everstream. My contract was set to expire in October 2024 (we thought), so I renewed in September 2024 for 36 months starting in October 2024. Turns out it was actually a Jan 2025 renewal date. However, on Nov 13, 2024 I received notice from my landlord that he was not renewing my lease at 3425 Belle Chase Way Lansing MI 48911 and needed to move out of the building by Jan 31, 2025. This move request was not anticipated or I would not have renewed. He sold the building. I reached out to my Telecommunications Broker regarding availability of Everstream services at my new business location at 2111 University Park Dr Suite 100 Okemos Mi 48864. Everstream is unable to provide services at my new business location. It's not fair that I should have to pay for services that I don't have which they are charging me $574/month = $20,664 over the life of the contract. I've reached out multiple times to an Everstream Channel Support Specialist and the Director of Channel Sales. They indicated that they won't waive contractual commitments without penalty even though I don't have internet service with them at the new business location. This is a non-profit business and I was a loyal customer with Everstream for 10 years at the old location.
