I had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Kaman & Cusimano over a basic HOA dispute. Their billing was excessively high, lacking transparency, and after settling the case, they unjustifiably charged an extra $2550 for nonexistent services. This firm's approach felt like a complete rip-off, showing a stark lack of professionalism. Many others have reported similar issues. If there's interest from class action attorneys, there seems to be a strong basis for further a ction. I urge caution to anyone considering their services.

We do not believe this is a legitimate review. The person identified as making the complaint is not a client of Kaman and Cusimano. Instead, the complainant is a third-party tenant/vendee under a land contract that was attempting to rent a condominium unit out as an Air BnB in violation of the Association’s Declaration and Bylaws in 2019.

Our firm represents community associations, such as condominium and homeowner associations. In these communities, an individual’s right to do as they please must give way to the recorded deed restrictions, which are in place for the protection of all owners and residents as well as their property values. Every owner is legally obligated to abide by these deed restrictions.

Periodically, we are engaged by volunteer board members and professional Community Association Managers to aid in the enforcement of these legally valid and binding restrictions, which serve the entire community's best interests. In this particular instance, the complainant was not even an owner but rather a third-party land tenant/vendee under a land contract. The Board took enforcement action against the deeded owner for clear violations of the Association’s Declaration regarding short term rentals.

A nightmare. Big business shoving homeowners around. Not so hot on really attending to HOA facts and well being. Just as happy to lead HOA boards toward lawsuits then charge them an arm and a leg to represent them. If you are looking to create a nice neighborhood that is fair and decent, find an attorney that is like minded - this firm is not - they are the great whites in terms of legal sharks, in my opinion and experience.
