Went to get an engine swap. They said it would take about 2-3 weeks. I waited for about 2 in a half months (communication could’ve been better) Finally I get the call that my car is ready, but claims it’s making a loud noise in 2nd gear and don’t want to accelerate. They said it’s a problem with my transmission, and is not safe to drive. The thing is my transmission was working just fine before I bought it in. They claim to have doubled check everything has been connected but do not know what the problem is. They want to charge me extra for extra labor they had to do to “double check it”. I willing to pay if my car is drivable! I don’t see why I’m paying for a car i can’t drive off the Lot. Hope we can work something out

Good morning, Upon looking through Mr. *******'s paperwork, I've found that his vehicle was towed in with a bad engine and did not start or run from the beginning. There was no way for us to fully inspect a non-starting/ non-running vehicle. Also, Mr. ******* brought his vehicle in and REQUESTED a replacement engine be installed and PROVIDED his own engine. There was no request for diagnostic and/or an inspection. This is also stated on Mr. *******'s paperwork. We are unsure who originally diagnosed Mr. *******'s vehicle; however, we did make Mr. ******* aware while replacing the engine, we found no transmission fluid registering on the transmission fluid dipstick. Since filling the transmission with fluid, we have noticed it leaks very heavily. From our expertise we can tell the engine had been severely overheated. We find that often in vehicle's with bad transmissions due to trying to force the vehicle to accelerate when the transmission will not shift correctly. The vehicle will not shift correctly when there is heavy leaks causing it to run low and/or empty. Also, no extra charges were added to Mr. *******'s bill for us checking it out. The additional charge on the bill was because Mr. ******* provided a replacement engine assembly that was different from the one originally installed in his vehicle and several parts including the intake manifold, both bank 1 and bank 2 exhaust manifolds, the motor mounts, and the flywheel had to be changed over. We are willing to work with Mr. ******* if he would like to replace the transmission in the vehicle. He is able to get his own transmission and just pay labor or we can locate the part and provide the labor. Please let me know if there are any other questions. Thank you
