I am filing this complaint against CSL Plasma due to unfair treatment and unresolved issues at two Cincinnati locations (***** and ********). Around late 2023, I visited the ***** location for my first donation and waited over four hours, only to be permanently deferred because a nurse assumed I could not pump my hands due to minor wrist discomfort. She never examined me. I later provided letters from my rheumatologist, orthopedic specialist, and primary care doctor stating I have no diagnosis that prevents donation. After eight months, the deferral was removed.

When I returned, CSL’s system incorrectly showed a medication I have never taken or been prescribed. I showed my MyChart medication list to prove this, but staff said only a doctor could remove it and that none were available. I was turned away again. At the ******** location, staff cleared the error, and I successfully donated once. When I returned two days later, the same false medication appeared again. The nurse became frustrated, treated me disrespectfully, and canceled my donation after I calmly asked a question. The manager refused to investigate and permanently deferred me again.

I have repeatedly contacted CSL with no resolution. I am requesting: (1) a full review of my donor record and removal of the incorrect medication, (2) reinstatement as a donor, (3) compensation for lost time and stress, and (4) written confirmation that the medication issue has been corrected. I have successfully donated at ********** with no problems, proving I am medically capable of donating. CSL’s errors and lack of professionalism have caused me emotional distress and financial hardship.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

    Hello,

I attempted to contact CSL Plasma directly as they requested, but I was unable to reach anyone successfully. I called and spoke with a representative who tried to transfer me to a manager, but the call rang for several minutes with no answer or voicemail option.
I also attempted to submit an inquiry through their website multiple times, but each attempt failed and showed the error message: “Oops! Sync data failed.” I have screenshots documenting this issue. Additionally, there were no working email options provided, and my previous attempts to reach a manager have gone unanswered.
I am making a good-faith effort to resolve this matter as directed, but CSL Plasma’s contact methods are not functioning properly or are being ignored. I am requesting that the BBB re-engage the business to ensure I receive a response from Corporate Relations or management regarding my unresolved deferral and treatment issues.

Thank you for your continued assistance.
    Sincerely,
    S***** ***********
