      Overall, my experience has been fine. My issue with them is something I am dealing with right now. During Covid, I deferred a few payments to the end of my loan due to temporary reduction in salary. They were great working with me then. My loan is maturing and I realized I had to pay a lump sum at one time. I called to see if I could work out an arrangement to keep making payments (would have been maybe 5 more months). Keep in mind I have NEVER missed or been late on a payment for the duration of my loan. I was told the loan would have to mature, go into bad debt (affecting my credit score), and then maybe they could work something out. I was shocked. I repeatedly said so you are telling me I have to let this become bad debt before you will talk to me and they said yes. How crazy is that??? Luckily my *************** credit card allows me a zero percent cash advance so I will pay them off and NEVER use them again. I should add that I have a credit score of 800 and I will not let a terrible company such as this destroy my hard work! Save yourself future issues and use a reputable bank for your loan needs.

      My senior father has had his checking account hacked, misuse of his credit card, and a teller deposit a check into a closed account. 1) How the **** does a bank teller not decipher a closed bank account? The result is having to work with the *** to issue another tax refund. 2) The bank refused to help with fraudulent charges or with the vendor to clear up the mistaken use of my father's credit card information for services rendered to another client. (my dad paid for someone else's pest control). 3.) Checking account was hacked and drained over the course of a month, Fifth Third lacked urgency in cutting off access to account. If changing a social security check deposit wasn't so infuriating I would have my father leave Fifth Third. I have never had this many issues with a bank.

      Horrible customer service. Employees are clueless. I closed 2 savings, 1 checking account, and a money market with them out of spite. Bank anywhere else!

      I would give zero starts if possible. **************** is absolutely criminal. They refused to give me my title to my car after the car has been paid off for over a week. They have fought me every way possible. Never do business with this company!

      If I could give zero stars I would! Cannot setup to make an ONLINE payment because THEY entered my phone number wrong. Cannot pay through the automated service. Instead, they want to transfer me to multiple customer service reps to give my checking account (through another bank) to them in order to make a payment! Very fishy!!!!! STAY AWAY!

      Choose another bank. Banked with Fifth Third for over 30 years. Had a problem with a credit card billing issue that took a couple months to resolve after requesting an investigation.. Paid the balance in full and cancelled the card. Had a late payment show up on my credit. They removed all late fees but refused to remove a late payment on credit report. Withdrew over $100,000 in money market and ended relationship. Will never give Fifth Third my business again

      Fifth Third bought new my mortgage loan, and I have not had a single accurate statement, a request for accuracy resulted in an erroneous account audit using flawed calculations, to increase payment requirements because of their calculation errors. The audit is requiring me to now make excessive escrow surplus payments, until they are required by law to refund the excesses they demanded I pay or annhilate my good credit score. Meanwhile, the audit did also reveal FIFTH THIRD NEGLECTED TO PAY MY PROPERTY TAXES!!! The mistake was only discovered while trying to get other mistakes corrected, and those mistakes were corrected with even greater errors. AVOID THIS BANK AT ALL COSTS!

      When I ******* fifth third bank, I see they have a one star, and i'm surprised if it's that high.. They predatoried me on a loan after paying on it 2 years The balance only came down one thousand three hundred dollars.. But yet they collected six thousand eight hundred.. I would not suggest doing business with these people.. My credit score was over seven hundred I wasn't paying attention I went to their office today.And had them pull up all this information.. Immediately went to another bank.. With the loan.. I wish I had done it sooner..This is a awful company, to do business with. Just go to the better business bureau and look at their business record... How are they still in business..

      I’ve been a customer of fifth third Bank and I was on a winning streak in Illinois at several of the local gambling establishments that my state offers and I went on march 22,2025 to deposit my VERY LARGE SUMS OF MONEY THAT I HAD WON LEGALLY and the ATM machine didn’t record my transaction and I tried several times to re-deposit my winnings and the ATM machine failed and gave me a receipt and I submitted it and the 8th business day was yesterday April 02,2025 and I still don’t have my money in my bank account.?? and they advertise on television that they put 166.7% into customer satisfaction that’s over 100% and I can’t tell because I still don’t have my money and I submitted the necessary documents from my transaction and I was awarded it and I never received it so 53 doesn’t do anything like they advertise
