    We needed new flooring on first floor & looked at several places before deciding on Central Carpet in Beavercreek. We like to give our business to local companies. We met with Vicki/Mike we chose a wood laminate. ordered w/central carpets, staff was very friendly & helpful. Mike advised we we chose an excellent laminate flooring, very durable and stood up to high traffic (kids/pets). The two installers (father/daughter) were excellent. We were told multiple times by the owners that Central Carpets would “be there for us” if anything was needed. Soon after completion we noticed imperfections swirls & lines everywhere, it was also VERY soft. Literally anything made an dent. Mike came out to look at the flooring, he agreed the the flooring looked defective. He tried several cleaning agents, no difference at all. Mike then had the manufacturer come out, representative came/took a couple random pictures with cell phone & said “I’ll let you know”. We heard nothing back from the manufacturer/central carpets. We finally called Mike advised us that the manufacturer did not feel it was defective & would not reimburse anything. Mike also said that the owner Bill said there was nothing they could do but they threw out all if the product from that particular manufacturer So much for “being there for us” We are now left with defective flooring throughout our first floor, looks like it’s been here for years with all if the swirls/lines, we have to be careful not to drop anything/wear certain shoes-100% it will cause a dent. We are out a substantial amount of money. asked central carpet to consider a reimbursement of some sort, we would even choose flooring from them if they worked with us. We never asked for full cost-merely to work out a deal, especially since central carpet agreed it was defective. Our request was denied by the owner of central carpet. This is very disappointing. We prefer to give our business to local company but in this case “being there for us” meant NOTHING
