    I am writing this on behalf of my mother. My mom is 82 years old, sold her house and moved out of state in August 2022. In April 2023, this company did service at the house and emailed her the invoice. She called right away and told them she no longer lived at the house. Joyce told her that they emailed the automatic contract renewal and she had to pay for that. After my mom told Joyce she no longer was the owner of the house, they came again on 06/30 to do another treatment. This time they knew that they no longer had access to the house because she was not the owner, but they treated the loan anyways. What company does that to an 82 year old woman? Now she owes 4 treatment??? (with no explanation from the company) and this ruthless people sent the invoice to collection. She tried multiple times to get in touch with the owner to get an explanation but no answer. Dishonest and illegal (since they knew that the house was not hers anymore). Disgusting

    On 4/2023 I was given this quote. Lawn Installation Lawn Installation: Front yard (includes the left side of the drive) Spray ahead of time to kill off the existing grass/weeds Work up the soil Remove rocks & debris Add approx 7 yards of screened topsoil Hand rake to level Rake in a premium blend of seed mix Apply a starter fertilizer Cover with straw to protect the seed and hold moisture 1 1348.00 Paid 1/2 down Never heard from them for estimate on time. Finally after I threaten to cancel they showed up that Friday, July 7 after several calls and e-mails. They only did part of the yard and didn’t remove any of the debris or rocks. I notified them and they came back weeks later and removed partial rocks in my bed around front. I told them it was supposed to be whole front not part especially for the cost. I don’t want them to come back at this point, I just want to call it even. I don’t think the work provided is worthy of $1500 of service, the stuff they put down is just growing weeds not grass. Very disappointed in this companies response and services provided. Wish I would have read these reviews prior to hiring.

    I hired Born to install a new lawn for a newly constructed house in October of 2022. It was late in the year and they assured me there was time to get the lawn in and if there were issues they would be back out in the spring of 2023 to fix any issues. I paid them in full with the expectation they would fulfill their side of the agreement. Only about 1/2 of the grass planted came up. I have called multiple times and they say they will take care of it but no one has been out to fix the lawn. I have talked to Jared personally and he said he would take this on himself and get it taken care of but now 2 weeks later there has still been no activity or any attempt to fix the lawn issues. All I am asking for is them to finish the job in a timely manner. It is now June and we are still waiting for this to get resolved.

    I arranged with Born's to mow my lawn, the back of which had become very overgrown during the wet spring weather. They were behind with their mowing so it was awhile for them to get to my yard which is understandable but their lack of communication is not. They mowed on or about May 9 but the crew left before I could check out their work. I was not happy to see that the backyard was covered with clumps and piles of grass clippings not to mention they did a poor job of blowing clippings around the property. (which I cleaned up myself that same day). I contacted Born's immediately (via email) saying that I did not consider the job complete and that the crew needed to come back to finish the job. Born's does not respond to communications promptly so it was three days before I got a response from them claiming that the crew said it was "the best they could do" and the "manager" would check on it. Nothing has happened since even though I have by now sent at least a dozen emails concerning this issue. I also sent pictures which got no reaction either. Because of their silence on the matter, I had no choice but to clean up the yard myself after a week's time (no easy task as I suffer from arthritis) which revealed that much of the grass wasn't really cut but just mowed down and was just as long as it was before the mowing. My numerous emails have gone unanswered, my yard is again too long to mow myself (as I waited in vain for Born's to return to rectify the situation) and nobody at Born's seems willing to accept any responsibility for their part in this but rather are content that they'd done the "best they could do." I have done business with Born's for at least ten years, am thoroughly upset and discouraged over their avoidance of this matter and the treatment I've received and hate that it has come to this. I would like the back mowed again immediately and cleaned up properly at no cost to me.
