    Contractor did not complete contract including painting exterior doors, Hvac system incomplete, Water leaking in multiple areas in basement, Paint damage to concrete work, Exterior trim not trimmed, Paint work and drywall not completed in a first-class, good and workmanlike manner, plumbing issues leaking and not completed in a first-class, good and workmanlike manner. Wood trim around windows was not first rate quality materials. Contractor has been paid in full and refuses to complete work listed in contractor or honor warranty.

    Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint filed by Mr. ****
    ****** regarding our work on his newly constructed home. Regrettably, this complaint does not come as a surprise.  The challenges we encountered during this
    project extended well beyond the usual construction or scheduling concerns.
    Throughout the course of the project, the behavior of the homeowner and other
    family members included repeated confrontations, condescending communication,
    and disrespect toward our team—creating a difficult and, at times, hostile work
    environment. These circumstances led to multiple employees and subcontractors voicing
    concerns for their well-being. Some ultimately refused to return to the job
    site. In order to protect our team and ensure the project's completion, as
    detailed in a letter we provided to Mr. ****** in late 2024 (attached for
    reference) it was necessary for me to enforce a contractual policy limiting
    direct interaction between the homeowner and on-site personnel. I have never
    had to implement this policy, and it was not a decision we took lightly, but it
    was necessary to maintain a safe and productive environment. Despite these challenges, we remained committed to delivering the home to
    the agreed-upon standards. We responded professionally to concerns raised
    throughout the process and made every reasonable effort to fulfill our
    contractual obligations. With respect to the specific issues raised in Mr. ******’s complaint, we
    acknowledge that, like most new home construction projects, some post-turnover
    punch list items remained. Some of the items mentioned in the complaint are
    accurate, while others appear to be exaggerated. Unfortunately, due to the
    ongoing pattern of hostility at the site, I no longer have employees or
    subcontractors willing to return to address these items. In an effort to resolve one of the issues, I personally returned to the
    property two weeks ago to install a part for the exterior spigot. However, I
    was met with such disrespect and hostility from Mr. ****** that I was forced to
    leave without completing the installation. If I am not willing to subject
    myself to that treatment, I cannot in good conscience ask my team to do so. We have
    had over 35 years of successful homebuilding.

    unsurpassed customer service.  We work
    very hard, thinking about our customers' needs, and doing whatever it takes. Mahoney Design & Build, Inc. strives to maintain
    an environment free from discrimination and harassment, where employees treat
    each other with respect, dignity and courtesy. 
    We expect the same from our customers, suppliers and vendors.  While we regret that the homeowner has filed this complaint, we stand by the
    actions we took to protect our employees and complete the home under
    challenging conditions. We are proud of the final result and the
