On October 3, 2023, ***. **************** sent me a contract and I signed it for him to be hired as my contractor. Just prior to that he was working for ********************, in ********, **. He told me that that company was overcharging me, and that he could do the job for less than half the cost. He told me to send increment payments to his son, ****** with *****. I followed his directions and the amount in question is $5600.00. His son dropped off some sheet rock, 11, twelve-foot planks of ******* Fir, and some joists along with two buckets of compounding paste, which in no way should be that amount that was extracted from me, as I was told by another contractor the other day when he came over to access the situation. ********************** texted me and came with the excuse that he and his son were in the hospital with Covid-19. I gave him more than one month to recover, then he comes up with another lame excuse that **** was discovered where he lives and had to find a temporary residence. possibly with his daughter. He swore that he was going to resume work here this past Monday. No phone calls, emails, nor text messages. His son is no longer innocent as it would seem, because upon further investigation through the Better Business Bureau I discovered that a pattern is reoccurring with them, March 18, 2022. But, I also found out that ********************** oversells his ability. Not only that but, the address for where his business in presently located is *******************************************************************. I cross referenced it when I Googled it. **************. How he got away with it the first time astounds me, but like they say give them enough rope, and theyll hang themself. Which is what he has done again along with his son. The physical address has yet to be updated. More stringent measures are needed to stop this fraudulent business ever happening again.
